The Doctor collated the reams of available information into a more digestible report for Alliance uses, noting where the science of the Church diverged from accepted science, the junctures at which the science was overridden with magic shortcuts and identifying them for possible exploitation by Pope's operatives.
He produced a succinct timeline and progress scale for the project, detailing when, where and why breakthroughs occurred with supporting lab documentation. In all, should pieces of the information be leaked to the right academics by the Alliance, several significant advancements could be teased out of the Church's efforts. Nailing down the replicable science from it would take years however.

Avel left the ethnographic, archeological and mythographic contexts to Dr. Tyrz to parse out and illustrate. He preferred to concentrate on his own areas of academic strength and leaving the rest for Vidar's specialized knowledge to shed light upon.

The uncomfortable notion of knowing more than one should, Jamais Vu. Vidar wrote down two words and excused himself. He began to search the library for Mayan and Aztex books regarding the Winged Serpent Quezacoatl and Plumed Serpent Kukulkan.

It only took a few pages for him to discard the book on Quezacoatl. He shook his head dismissively, it didn't fit. But Kukulkan did. While they were similar myths, Kukulkan was closer, far closer indeed to their intended destination in Mexico. Far closer in time as well.

He found another reference to another Winged Serpent from the Primordial Sea, God of Wind and Water. Opposite the God of Lightning and Thunder and cackled. "Not coincidence." Qʼuqʼumatz, the Serpent of the Primordial Sea. While the reading was fresh, nothing he had ever read before, it was so familiar to him. It got him thinking. The gods were combinations of myths familiar to him.

Vidar thought to share this discovery with Dr. Avel, but figured he had pestered the man enough with his insane blathering. Instead began to compare notes between Thor, Tyr, the Storm and War God Tepeu. As well as Nidhoggr, Jormungandr, and Qʼuqʼumatz/Kukulkan.

The wonder that was ancient man, two vastly different cultures, separated by tens of thousands of leagues. Rendered nearly identical forms to their own myths, both in species and power, at almost the exact same time.

Vidar spent the remainder of the time reading in contemplative meditation. The process of which drew him into a deep trance, where he could better memorize and assimilate the information given him, and perhaps lead to profound insight. Though he was entranced as such, it only sped his ability to read and he very quickly consumed several books over the course of the day.
