💎 Icewind Dale: Legacy of the Crystal Shard

Maybe it's because they're half-orcs or maybe it's the Disneyfication of artwork but the last three toothy green renditions that I have seen of orcs had them being quite attractive. Bonus of having a built in excuse to then act like a monster anytime you want and what's not to love?

(Half-)Orcs are a great representation of people who aren't accepted and who are prejudiced against. You can play this in different ways. Racial, religious, gender...
They don't fit in and that's what makes them interesting to play

Same goes for tieflings

I'm interested if you're looking for players, although I know next to nothing of the Icewind Dale setting.

FYI, if too many people type "Crystal Shart," you might have to change the title to "Brown Ice."

Smiles. Wow. At least a dozen or more. Might be interesting to play a plain joe fighting guy. Perhaps just go with a handaxe instead of a good sword and bow. Perhaps he used to be a butcher or something of the like.

I'm interested in the game. I'm fairly flexible on character type as there are a few different things that I can try out. I'm traditionally a Paladin player but I'm happy to bring several other classes if need be. The only thing i'm not really interested in is a sneaky style character.

I forgot to mention that I'm interested in playing a hill dwarf ranger, a halfling rogue (eventual Scout archetype), or a human fighter focused on archery skills.

Because the game's oversubscribed, I think Ezz and I will roll dice to choose and let you know soon.

Choosing was quite difficult, so we gave up on the process entirely and left a bunch of choices to dice rolls. Here we have our five players, though we'll be coming back to this thread in the case of dropouts:
