OOC:
Citytropolis: A bustling haven of science and technology, culture and politics, cursed by the undercurrent of scum and villainy only this kind of utopia can attract. But for every dread nemesis that lurks in the shadows, there is a hero, a paragon of virtue, weilding immeasurable power to right the wrongs of their home and serve justice to those who cannot protect themselves.

Magnificent and legendary heroes. Cunning and dangerous villains.

....And then there's you.

Called together by an eccentric patron, you are among the dregs of empowered citizens. Not noble enough to make it as a hero, not strong enough to make it as a villain, and not even charming enough to make it as a sidekick. If the heroes and villains of Cityopolis are seen as purebreds, you're little more than the raccoons that lurk near their dumpsters.

But every dog trash panda has its day, right?

This could be the opportunity of a lifetime. A chance to show Cityopolis that you're a real threat, to gain the attention of a real hero, and to start earning that recognition you have so long desired.

To be a real villain.

Will your escapades help you climb the ladder of infamy? Or will they just pay for the next pack of ramen in your unfurnished flat?

Only one way to find out!
Seeking players and GM's interested in a heavily-collaborative superhero comedy. The hope is to transition to a "monster of the week" setting with each interested player running a module as time goes on. While any good story has opportunities for emotion, this is intended to be a tongue-in-cheek jaunt into the less-glamorous side of the superhero genre.

Applications are open, and we'll be using the Follow Your Heart system. We'll be handling some collaborative worldbuilding first, so please message with an idea for a supervillain that could probably hold their own, but doesn't scream "corporate sponsorship."

Please consider joining us!

I really like this setting idea and the system seemed easy enough the last time. My only issue is that I'm in a whole bunch of games right now, so I'm not sure I should go for this. But I am very tempted...

Same here. I'm in my max capacity for games, and the good weather is coming to those of us in snowy climes leaving me with less time for GP. Very, very tempting though.

I'm on the fence on this game. The setting has got me interested, more so in running a module than being a player. However, the system didn't quite grab me the last time I played it. I probably would be willing to give it another shot though. How do you see the module running thing working? Like, different GM per session? Or different oneshots each time? Etc.?

Here to join to the queue for 'very very tempted despite having a ton of games'. I'll admit that I'm not so secretly checking out who else might want to play, because this game sounds like much will depend on our ability to collaborate well.

I'm in, as a player. Your system is getting better all the time.

I'll add my support for Lavtodd as a great GM, and her Follow Your Heart system is quite good.

Thanks for the support and feedback, guys. I really appreciate it.

As far as the multiple GMs thing goes, I'll handle the first couple gigs and the overarching concept that eventually someone's gonna notice this band of ragtag villains. But if someone really wants to run a heist, or a jail break, for instance, then they'd be able to. Same characters throughout, so the current GM's character either becomes a GM NPC or does independent work for some reason.

I definitely like that part of the idea.

I guess I'll take a spot unless that'll make me take a spot that someone else with fewer current games would want.

Did you want character ideas in a PM?
