@NatOne although I would be open to try to fit your suggested background into the story it would be rather troublesome. I would prefer you to pick a background that could fit this:
that assumes your parts are alive and well aware of your travel.

Oh. I see now. That was an reply in the thread. I missed that part as being something general. I thought it was for Rune specifically being from another noble background. Sorry about that. My original thought was that she would have fled to Chult.

If dead parents prove to be a problem, I would like to propose another idea:


In which case I would go for another character concept.

This time the Entertainer Background. She is a bard. A dancer and violin player. Playing her music in taverns and inns for a few copper coins.
She heard lots of stories from adventurers, even those coming from Chult. Stories of a city full of riches and entertainment.
A combination which made her not copper or silver but gold. Dreaming of playing her music for the merchants in Port Nyanzaru was a dream of gold. She would go there, play music, become famous and become rich.

I'm undecided if I'm going Arcane Trixter rouge or Cleric, but I'll restrain myself until I'm in the game.

Don't know why people keep posting their choices in this thread :) . Well actually I don't mind knowing what race is everyone willing to play, I can assure I am totally ignoring class choices I see in this thread.

Bond : I will do anything to protect the temple or establish a temple to Tyr where I am.

Flaw : My piety sometimes leads me to blindly trust those that profess faith in my god.

I have an idea to use the Feylost background, having wandered away from my parents on a camping trip at 4 years old, I stumbled into a temporary portal to the Feywild, having been lured there by an evil hag who wished to eat me. Saved by a benevolent fey, I was raised there until stumbling back through another portal. I have heard that in the deepest parts of Chult there may be a portal back home to the Feywild.

After consulting more experienced PBP DMs I decided to cut number of players to get invited to 7.

But anyone could apply by finding application requirements in the beginning of this thread (and game rules in the game description). Even if you are not picked right now I will put you on wait list and we may have another person dropping at any time... life tend to happen to players.

P.S. You will be joining by the end of chapter 1 which is intro chapter. Just before the first jungle expedition.

I would like to apply for this game. My first idea for a background is to play an anthropologist who is writing a treatise on Chultan culture; she'll be a bookish type so probably a wizard, although I'm not certain about that yet.
