Uncaged is an anthology of DnD 5e adventures that subvert tropes around female mythological creatures and monsters. The adventures are unashamedly written from a feminist perspective (so a middle-aged white bloke makes a perfect DM for this, right? But I'll try my best).
I've run parts of Uncaged before, but the story of The Weeping Woman is my favourite. It's based on La Llorona from Mexican folklore.
Content warnings: Domestic violence, suicide, infanticide, gaslighting
As you might expect, it's not a hack-n-slash and I'll try to treat the topics with sensitivity.
This is a short one-shot. The last time I ran this on Gamers' Plane, it took four weeks to complete.
I'm looking for four players. Level 2, point-buy, using free basic rules, PHB, XGtE, and TCoE.
If you've never played-by-post before or are new to DnD 5e (and PHB, XGtE, TCoE looks like gibberish) then I'll be happy to guide you.
It's not first-come-first-served. If oversubscribed, people with few active games will take priority.
