Order of the Lycan it is -- Etch's years spent hunting lycans in the wilds guaranteed that the construct had been bitten more than once. Though made of bone-like sinews and steel, the warforged still contracted the disease. Scholars, if they knew, might have begun to wonder if their theories of a blood-borne affliction were wrong, and instead if lycanthropy was a curse of the soul. At least, they would have if they believed constructs had souls. While afflicted, the disease remained dormant until recently as while the soul was afflicted, the body was not amenable to change. Then, after a particularly brutal battle with a trio of bugbears, Etch was severely damaged. It was then, when the constructs body was so loosely held together, that the affliction found its means to manifest. Etch, however, immediately wrestled control of it, the will of the construct far exceeding the will of a human, and turned it outwards as a newfound power.
