Where does our story take place?
My suggestion is the Radiant Citadel from the upcoming D&D book. We'll make it our own but I like how it reminds me of Babylon 5
We would be locals, investigating strange occult murders and navigating guild politics. At some point, our characters would meet each other as their respective plot lines cross.
