tweak/edit_system

I noticed when editing a game you can change everything except "System." Is there a reason for that? Does the chosen system have an effect on the game forum at all or is it just a label? Could we make it editable? Is there any reason we shouldn't make it editable?

I would be pro-making-it-editable

I don't know why it's not editable, but has anybody ever needed to edit it?

I've seen people ask to have data edited to change GM and change username, but I don't know that anybody has ever selected the wrong system.

It seems like a solution to a non-existent problem.

One game I'm in has switched from Tales from the Loop to Things from the Flood and another from Marvel Heroic to Cortex Prime. And one game I run has switched from PF2 to a homebrew.

It's not a huge deal that they still have the old labels but it just seems strange that they're not editable in the first place.

Okay. I'll take a look and see if I can work out why the decision was made to prevent editing.

Maybe, in the past, there was tighter integration with the game's system and its sheets? I see no harm in allowing it to change, and many games might be moving from 'systems' to 'custom', especially ones that are 'not exactly that system, but something close'.

I have not been able to access https://mapdm.com/ all day, and the non-https site gives me an nginx default page, so I can not test.

After password reset site is working.

Feature seems to be working too.

This is in "Pull requests", but I tried changing "System" on both mapdm and on the main site and I still can't edit the "System" field. Am I missing where I need to go to make that change? I'm going to the "Game Details" page and clicking

You're right. That feature is gone from mapdm. But it did work for a while

It wasn't accepted.

At some point, this was merged and deployed.
