I would be surprised if Thorem don't do that as part of his turn. 10 feet toward edge of water he see Bellow and Mal fighting with a crab.
He still have 15 feet of movement and Action+BA to spend.

Thorem would be in a mindless dash to save his comrades in arms with really just a greataxe. It is Comrades in danger VS the water. (Quote was "I will lay down my life for the people I serve with.") So Thorem will cover 15' of movement. (You get a nice view of his tattoos.) He doesn't have any bonus actions to spend.

Yoth stays where he is - ready to engage the crab in melee if necessary, but holding back for the moment. He makes a series of gestures and shouts additional prayers. As he does so, a glowing club of divine energy appears above the crab and immediately swings at it. This is followed by the deep sound of a bell tolling.

Round 3: Thorem is still in a blind run to catch up with the Crab. Just a moving wall in the water gaining on it.

To the hellhound. infernal, Do you think there's a way to shut these damn chests down? The sound is awful, let's go take a look. ... Sniff them, maybe some smell differently... he gets up and begins to look around the room, for a way to make the room silent again....why there always must be something that gets on my nerves?!

No Anguis do not notice battle. He only notice absence of characters in C/D.
If you as a player choose that Anguis ignore that fact, your "look around the room" action will take 5 more battle rounds and we could return to you after those 5 rounds.
Alternatively we could assume Anguis is interested with party progress and moves toward D to find them, where he will see the battle.
