[IC] The Delivery Quest, Part 3

The turtle stretches out its neck as if to say "You're welcome." At first, the snail just sits still and stares. Then the turtle starts to climb up the island toward the snail, rubbing its head against Yarbi, the rabbit, on its way up (for some reason.)

The turtle stops right next to the snail.

Remarkably, the snail starts to levitate off the ground, hovering in mid-air! The little snail floats off to one side and then lands on the turtle's back.

But the snail appears to remain silent and does not seem to say anything.

Suddendly Yarbi speaks up, "Yes yes, greetings to you too! Yes we have come a long way, indeed, thank you. My name is Yarbi. My friend Beartrand here can answer your question and explain why we're here... ". Yarbi looks to Beartrand, "I think she's trying to answer your question with a question."

Yarbi has a look of utter confusion, "You mean, you don't hear that voice? I thought it was the snail talking... Oh dear, maybe I really am going crazy this time."

"The voice is asking: 'why have we come here?' "

"Did you just see the snail float in the air? Or was that just me?"

Yarbi realizes that only he can hear the snail. It's the reason the wise elders knew he had to be the one, the one delivered to the oracle. Maybe because the oracle only trust rabbits like they said? Or maybe because she can communicate well with them.

In any case...

"It's the oracle.", Yarbi says out loud.

Yarbi goes on to tell the story of their adventure, about the curse, and their quest.

"She agrees to help us lift the curse, in order restore balance to our village. She will now tell us how..."
