My idea is an amateur boxer that was turned as a "reward" for his skill and ate his opponent. He has fled, freaking out, and was mostly rescued by one of the kinder and helpful players that probably got him on the straight and narrow again, keep him focused off of his growing hunger.

Looks to me more like a Black-Court infested, which can be interested

Shaun was born in Seattle, Washington. Shaun's father was a white court vampire named Christopher Bartlett, his mother a pure mortal Brandy McGuire. His father was killed by Wardens when Shaun was still a baby. His mother, not wanting to put her son through the machinations of House Bartlett, fled with the baby to Atlanta changed their names and tried to stay as inconspicuous as possible. She's told him parts of his history, but held some details back in the interest of protecting him; there are plenty of holes in his understanding of what he is, what he is capable of, and who might be looking for him. There are family members still hunting for him, but so far they haven't caught up with him, and especially now that he has entered adulthood (20 years old) House Bartlett's interest in finding their lost scion is increasing spearheaded by Christopher Bartlett's older brother Andreas.

Regarding the Knight of the Court - are we playing a pre-written narrative, or homebrew? I would prefer to play a Knight of the Summer Court, but if they are going to feature heavily in the story in ways that might throw my character in conflict with the others, it might not be ideal.

Tell me when been the dog of the queens that will not put yourself in conflict with others ?

If the group find something interesting, the Queens may order you to spy your friends
If it really interest them, they will certainly ask you to get the object, the answer or whatever before everyone else
or even to prepare a trap for them.

Well from what I saw of pre-written for Desdren, they are quite minimalists, so even pre-written is somehow home brewed.
