"James, Oh God James, is that you in there?" Florence cries out. She looks around for any sign of something helpful to their plight. If her words do not cut through to the man that once inhabited that skin, she believed for certain it would lunge at Otto. If it does, she thinks, she'll go for that knife the body was laying on - the closest weapon she can see.

Also the thing is within 10 feet of you (1/5 Dex) so it's considered point blank range. That gives you a bonus die. (ie roll 1d100 and roll and extra 1d10)

As Sam fires, something strange happens, all at once the spiral scars on Gardiner's chest and arms light up in a blue flash and the bullet drops harmlessly to the ground, leaving the Gardiner-thing uninjured.
