Dead Boarder

Holding a chunk of the door dumbly for a moment after the whole thing shattered, Otto looks down at it briefly and then casts it aside.

"Mr. Lang!" he shouts, darting back into the room to grab the man by the arm and pull him the hell out of there, "come on!"

Florence runs straight to Tommy and picks the boy up. "Oh Tommy! my baby!" She hardly seems to see the officer at first, but as she collects her thoughts, just a little, she points back towards where they came. "I-in there! He just got up and started...started, oh god!" Still holding the child she backs away and past the officer, placing the armed man between themselves and the danger before stopping and watching in nervous anticipation.

Usually not very comfortable when near police officers, Sam forgets his own prejudice in the current situation. "This... This thing, officer. It's not human! It's not human!" He points at Otto and the door. He will follow the officer if he goes up, as much out of curiosity as to show he was right.

Lang rushed forward with Otto! If Otto wasn't already grabbing him, Land would have grabbed Otto and dragged them both out of the room.

"Come on, Otto!" Lang shouted as he took the stairs two at a time! If Otto got into difficulty, Lang would drag him along!

After they got out of the room, Lang took off like a bat out of hell. "Lauf! Run!" Otto bellows as he tries to keep pace.

Old carpet gives way beneath Schmidt's heavy footfalls, tearing tacks out of the floor and bunching up beneath the man's feet. He stumbles, and risking a glance over his shoulder, sees the Horror the used to be his neighbor closing up. Grimacing as he falls further and further behind Lang, Otto decides to jump to the first landing once he reaches the end of the hall...
