I agreed with @runekyndig good game that work around PC backstory take time when do character creation. I suggest inform player first that character creation gonna take 1-2 week

and for me i love create character in same thread because we will see how other people create and it look active

Don't worry it take time to have right player but when it does i believe it will worth

We are beginning the game as Wet feet. 20 point of skills, 6 refresh.

Some concepts will not be possible at creation, but will be later in the game. Example one wanted to be a Knight of a fairy court, he would have to wait later to become one, but the seeds must be present in the creation concept (a template I do not recommande).

Otherwise most concept are Ok, but must be backed up with a plausible background.

Ok, is the wizard apprentice a teenager too? Because I was thinking about playing an adult.

My first idea was playing a summoner, i.e. a focused practitioner with access to summoning and binding rituals only.

I open a subject we will see if it can fit, I think specialised is possible with 6 points.

Can you create an empty character I will copy the character sheet.

Hi folks, just joined the game and am happy to be here. I'm fluent in the Fate rules, but have never played the Dresden Files RPG, so I'm going to do a little reading before settling on a character concept. Although I may play an in-the-know mortal seeing as we're at the lower end of the power scale.

Is there a gameplay thread yet? I don't see one, but it seems like we've gotten started.

Sure, should I use "Fate Core" template, or just a blank one?
Regarding this, I think Fate benefits from doing the PC creation exercise as something shared between all the players, so I’m fine with doing it in public (unless you prefer private for any reason, which of course is fine with me as well).

@JoshuaMabry so far there is no shared gamepmay, I am preparing an introduction so some people may not know the others and not be in there group. Once everyone will join, I will create a common play area.

@gnomius Well we can begin in public, but several times there was some "surprises" better hidden to the other players.

I prefer a blank sheet, I will fill up the template we use.

Mycroft AtkinsonHigh Concept: Tattooed summoner
Mycroft is a British citizen who moved to Atlanta a few years ago. He is summoner, a wizard specialized in crafting magic circles and diagrams to summon all types of creatures: demons, spirits, faeries… He closes deals with them in exchange for services.

Trouble: Life is a game to gamble on
Mycroft is a professional gambler, and he takes life the same way, so he has a very particular view on the risk vs. reward evaluation of any given situation, and he is often prone to taking too many risks just for the fun of it. He almost never rejects a bet or a challenge. Also, he carries with him a runic deck of cards, which he uses as explosive magic projectiles.

I'm torn between a clued in EMT with a former military background and a retired mafia hitman who's come to hate what he became. One kind of makes more sense in a more grounded game, the other gives me a chance to be John Wick.
