First time PbP GM, long time in person.
I am thinking about running a gritty survival game using the RPG Endure (pay-what-you-want, rules light)In this game players take the roles of normal people that try to survive in a dangerous environment. Due to the nature of the genre, there is pain, desperation, and sometimes horror - so it is important to define the limits of players which will be fully respected and enforced.
You were the lucky ones. You were not outside when the air turned to fire. You were not in the buildings that crumbled as the drone swarms detonated their payloads. You were out in the woods, or hiding in a basement. You survived. 90% of your city didn't. As the enemy's conquering army marches towards you, all you have left is each other. Your goal is to survive. Do you have what it takes to keep fighting for life?
Setting: Fictional setting with contemporary (or very near future) technological level. Players will have input in setting and storytelling.
Playstyle: Gritty, tactical, and social play. Players are expected to think about their actions and try to survive. Serious tone.
Frequency: Posts approximately once per day.
Duration: Hard to judge with PbP but I expect each 'Chapter' to take approximately 1 month. 'Chapters' will be self consistent so players can decide if they want to keep playing or move on / or new players come in.
