Ok! Fine! You twisted my arm and talked me into it! I'll start another 7th Sea game for any interested players!

I would like to stick to the canon setting and rules. I'm still learning, as most of us are, so mutual patience will be needed. I'm open to game story/style, so shout out character ideas or story ideas if you're interested.

Why do you people tempt me so! I don't have the capacity for more games, but if the forums are public I'll make sure to check out the game. I'm interested to see how other groups handle the rules.

Pretty much this. I'm participating in enough games that one more might break me. I'll watch with interest, though!

in on this, going to play a Montaigne noble, Porte Sorcerer.

and there were two people interested in joining one of my games, maybe they can get in on this one. I opened a slot that someone else already claimed

Un sorcier de porté, mon ami? Bonne chance!

With my French background, I should be doing this. Why did I not think of that?

already claimed.. and you said you can't spare the time. Guess I'll have to do it justice with my New Orleanian background

Planning to run two different 7th Sea games for friends of mine but don't have any way of playing myself. Can play any kind of character you need as long as they are heroic. Been running/playing 7th Sea for about 12 years. Let me know if there's an opening.

I can play.

Ah, a veteran! This will be my first time running a 7th Sea game, so your input will be most welcome. There is definitely an opening.

Three players is enough for me to start a game. Are there any themes/locations/game styles/character types that you all are looking to explore? I'll likely start the game this evening, will send invites to all who posted here.

Also, a quick comment on me as a PbP GM: I've discovered that, while I am able to post daily to most the games I play in, I am a 2-4 post per week GM. Just a warning in case that pace seems too slow to any of you. I leave a lot of open room for character development and inter-party banter, but I live a busy life and sometimes its hard for me to get a post in when I need to reference material.

I would like to explore this new version of Theah but seeing as the sourcebooks are not out yet I would recommend sticking with a pirate adventure as you can more easily make up the locales like different Islands and such.

I'll make a character that fits the story. I would like to play a Knight of Avalon but I could have just as much fun as a Sarmatian hussar or a Castilian member of Los Vagabundos. Even a random pirate would be fun.

I'd love to play.

In terms of characters I've got so many in mind, but leaning towards a montaigne duelist

I'm going to stick with the Montaigne porte sorcerer/noble. I don't mind a pirate game or a treasure hunter

Nice to see so many new GP members! How would everyone feel about a straight up Pirate campaign? I'm a former Tall Ship sailor, so I am enamored with the seagoing aspect of 7th Sea and would love the opportunity to play up those story elements and mechanics.

WanderingPenitent: You could play a Knight of Avalon sent by the queen to recruit pirates for her navy.
Jun 28, 2016 3:54 pm
Well, the queen also makes good use of privateers
Jun 28, 2016 3:57 pm
Privateers are just pirates with a mandate. In our "real" world, many pirates were given letters of marque by England which basically gave them permission to do what they do under a legitimate veneer of "waging war". So long as they cut the crown in on the loot that is, and/or made a point to harry the enemies shipping.

My usual go to in 7th sea ajd swashbuckling in general is more 3 musketeers based, but ill play almost any story in the world of theah.

That said, if we are doing a sailing story, I'll think a character more fitting than my initial idea.
Jun 28, 2016 4:17 pm
So far we have two interested in Montaigne characters. I'm flexible. If we want to do more political swashbuckling intrigue, I'm happy to run that game as well! Its a little outside my wheelhouse, but that's a good thing. I like to use GP to stretch my wings a bit, both as a character and a GM. Its a good format/forum for experimentation.

I'll play most any nation to be fair. Only ones I care less about are Vesten and the commonwealth.
