OOC:
Issac roll dmg for the dagger attack, but we will say it doesn't count as your turn so you are still up first! I'll update Action Order after turn posts.

OOC:
I'll make him Distracted. We got a lot of men to fight against. I also appreciate that the two shit-talkers are the ones in a bar fight.

OOC:
Rolling damage!
As he sees the dagger strike true, piercing the guard's armor and into his flesh, he looks at the Guard Captain, "It's all in the wrist mon cap'itan. But practice makes perfect, I think I'll send a few over your way!"
OOC:
As a free action I'll draw out my second, and final, throwing dagger, but its more of an attempt to further get his attention towards me. As an action I'll do a Test using Taunt, in hopes of also provoking him.

The Fox and Hound Tavern | Round 1
OOC:
Action Order:
1. Issac
2. Aloys
3. Guards
4. Mathis
5. Jean-Pierre

Guard
Issac's dagger "blooms" in the guards throat. He gropes at the hilt, as he falls to his knees gurgling.

Guard Captain
Issac's taunt has it's desired affect; the captain turns on his heel and heads for Issac in a rage.
OOC:
(We'll make him Vulnerable and Distracted now)
[ +- ] Reference Perhaps (updated):

Aloys waits for the moment, cockily grinning at the men who drew blades on them. One of them falls to the ground, grasping futilely at their neck to stop the flow of red leaving it.

"Well gentleman, that's six versus four now. Who wants to be the next tally mark?" Aloys says with a grin, preparing himself.
OOC:
I would like to hold my card and wait for them to approach. Then I'll try to beat their Agility so I can go when they close in. Don't want to get surrounded out there.

Rolls

Agility v.s. Agility - (1d8, 1d6, RA)

1d8 : (1) = 1

1d6 : (4) = 4

Fighting - (1d8, 1d6, RA)

Fox and Hound Tavern | Round 1 - Guards
OOC:
Rolling for the whole group of guardsmen, meaning I'm adding a wild die to the roll!
With much stomping of boots and shoving of furniture the guards rush toward your party, in mass. Three engage Issac, two engage Mathis and one engages Jean-Pierre.

BUT, Aloys, you're able to react before swords clash. What do you do?

OOC:
Going to be busy today so nothing fancy here. Going to Defend and give myself a +4 to Parry. That should bring me up to an 11 parry. That's a lot of danger! Also, I'm the redhead with three folks on me. I think Isaac is clear to murder defend our honor.

Fox and Hound Tavern | Round 1 - Guards, Cont.,

With many *clangs* and *whooshes* the melee begins.
OOC:
Rolling for the guards, then narrating below with the results. I'll make a follow up post if any dmg is dealt.
Guard
A slash blocked by Aloys followed by...
Guard
...a thrust that's parried and...

...a chops that's deftly avoided.

Guard
A thrust at Mathis, that's parried. But it opens the Gold Cloak up to...
Guard Captain
...a serpent quick swipe across the thigh (

See next post for dmg)

An overhand chop sidestepped by Jean-Pierre.

OOC:
Rolling dmg against Mathis and narrating below:
Mathis Baumé
The swipe across Mathis thigh is superficial, the cut not even noticed by the Gold Cloak. His return attack against the Captain he easily dodged by the skilled fellow.

Jean-Pierre
Likewise, Jean-Pierre's counter attack is blocked by his foe.

Fox and Hound Tavern - Round 2 ~
OOC:
Turn Order:
1. Aloys
2. Guards
3.Issac

This Round, Aloys you tell Jean-Pierre what to do, and Issac, you tell Mathis what to do--just make it some dialogue.

Regardless, Aloys is up!

Rolls

Captains ShortSword - (1d8+1d6, RA)

(4) + (2) = 6

Sep 17, 2022 4:55 pm
"My goodness! You are all quite serious about killing me! I thought we were friends!" Aloys shouts over the sounds of combat, focusing on defense while the others. He looks back at Jean-Pierre as he parries another blow, his grin growing wide. "C'mon, bravo. I thought you were going to show us how a blade is used! Cut that man down and help clear them out!"
OOC:
Aloys will take another Defend action because My toughness is not great and I don't want to be stabbed. Jean-Pierre is to try and take out his enemy and help Mathis against the normal guard, not the guard captain. My Parry remains 11. I think Issac goes before me though since his turns hasn't come up yet.

Fox and Hound Tavern - Round 2
Grunts, boots scraping on wood, and steel on steel fill the air of the tavern. The guardsmen have deadly determination in their attacks.
OOC:
All the guards are attacking their same targets, and assume and imagine a wild melee. I'll highlight the successful attacks below!
Guard
Lunging forward, the Guardsman's blade gets past Mathis' defenses. His blade punctures the mustachioed musketeer's gut.

Mathis Baumé
Mathis grunts in pain and slams back into the table behind him. Drinks are spilled on the ground. His sword clatters to the floor as he grips is stomach, blood flowing between his fingers.

~
Guard
Taking advantage of his allies pressing the attach on Aloys, the Guardsman is able to connect his thrusting blade with Aloys.
OOC:
Aloys...this guard has delivered Shaken + 3 raises (:|)
If you don't Soak you'll take 3 Wounds and be Shaken.

Issac is up next!

Seeing Mathis grievously wounded, and Aloys take what seems a nasty blow, Issac draws out his rapier and lunges at the Guard Captain and nearby guard, in a furious attack. "Bastards!"
OOC:
Wild Attacking the captain and guard next to him, so multi-action at -2; cumulative +2 at captain, who's still Vulnerable.

Guard Captain
"Gaaah!" The Captains eyes go wide as he falls backward to the floor, a bleeding whole in his chest, slain by Issacs blade.
OOC:
Damn, save some Aces for the others!
Guard
The Guardsman just barely blocks Issac's attack. His shrieks in fear, his moral broken.

OOC:
I sadly have no more bennies. Fortunately, that roll did not take in my +4 for Parry. I avoid getting totally messed up.
Aloys fortunately dodges the decisive blow, the man's attack sticking into the table for just a moment. His eyes turn towards their downed friend, widening at the redness that comes from beneath Mathis.

"Mathis!" Aloys shouts, his grin disappearing into a snarl. "You heartless bastards!" Despite the wound in his shoulder, the redeemed thief parries a blow to the side and then goes in hard for a deep lunge.
OOC:
I am going to Wild Attack and hope it goes well.
OOC:
It never goes well :(
