OOC:
Sorry! ugh, just getting back from putting kids into school this week.
She wouldn't want to grab it, just coming close to touch it and see if she understood its existence. Standing with Steph.

At this point, the windows seem a no go, the door is missing. Notable things in this room, the piece of paper, whatever else may be in the closet, and the door, leading to a darkened hallway.

To avoid the guitar and the hugging thereof, Cade searches the closet and taps the back and sides to see if they sound hollow.

The left side throws you off a second before you remember that's the side next to the hallway. The back and right echo a little, but it seems unlikely there's a passage or anything.

As you leave you're jumpscared a little by one of the objects in the cardboard box on the floor. A piece of canvas with a large green eye.

Also in the box are 3 dead flies and a small pile of mail. The top piece looks to be an invoice from a mail order bookseller. If you look closer:

Cade jumps, as the huge green eye is revealed, and smacks the canvas with the end of her baton in reaction. She shines her light into the box and crouches down to pick up a couple of the pieces of mail. She looks for a processing date stamp to see how long ago these were handled in the mail system.

The postmarks are old enough that they're big and square. The dates are from the 50s, though there's only the last 2 numbers.

"These old envelops are mail from the fifties." Cade calls out to the others. "Why would anyone have mail from seventy years ago in this closest, with that." She points toward the 'Mickey' guitar "And that." She gestures toward the canvas with the big green eye.

"I guess someone bought a book on automatic writing in the 50's then. What? Didn't they just have auto complete on their phones then?"
Steph asks with a little grin that holds the middle between a joke, and hiding as if she actually ceriously asking. "What store is this anyway? That ain't Amazon..."

Cade looks straight into the yawning darkness of the one egress they have from their current location. "For better or worse, our only two options at this point, as far as I can see, are to sits her and gather dust, or see what other un-pleasurable things this house can serve up."
