OOC:
Your guess would be that it is the main Command room. It would be where you saw windows that overlooked the landing area.

OOC:
All meta knowledge aside, Nox would probably open it. I won't move without consensus but it makes sense to me.

OOC:
go for it. we're here to search the place right?

'Main control room then?' says Ken gesturing to the remaining door. 'Without power we probably won't be able to learn much.'
Aug 12, 2022 10:06 am
"Sounds good, let's pop it open like the rest and make sure it's clear."
Aug 12, 2022 12:12 pm
With practiced ease, AD-hoc releases the mechanical override to the door. As the door slides open, the team sees this indeed does appear to be the main control room. To the left the wall has a curved window that looks out over the landing area. Most of the room is taken up with two long consoles. The consoles sit facing the window, with two stations with chairs in the 'front' row and stations in the back row. The center station is currently occupied by the very still form of a droid. There is another door on the far side of the room, it has a large sign that is just obscured enough by dust, that it's not legible from here.

Meebo goes to investigate the droid, looking for any signs of damage. "Let's see here. Did somebody break you, or did you just shut down?"

The droid stands motionless as you approach and after a brief assessment, seems to be simply, 'powered off'.

AD-hoc will check out the console, and attempt to turn it on if possible.
Aug 12, 2022 8:19 pm
Nox approaches the door on the far side of the room with an obscured sign nearby. He reaches up to dust off the sign and see what it says.
Aug 12, 2022 9:29 pm
AD-hoc is able to confirm that the consoles are truly without power. Nox wipes the dust off of the sign revealing "Main Power Control".
Aug 12, 2022 11:55 pm
"Hey guys, we might be able to get some power on in here!" Nox points to the sign and shouts, forgetting that he's on comms.
Aug 13, 2022 9:09 am
Ken joins Meebo. 'Worth reactivating the droid to find out what happened here before we power up the station?'
Aug 13, 2022 5:38 pm
OOC:
Would our characters know that's a clone wars era droid? (assuming it is a tactical droid) My characters backstory is that he was around during the clone wars, but also that he was stuck in a bunker, lol
Aug 13, 2022 6:01 pm
OOC:
Acutally, your backstory says you were under the control of the Separatist army. So, Yes, your backstory would mean that it would be a Easy (1P) Knowledge check to recognize that type of droid. Everyone else was literally in diapers or not born when the war ended. So, they are all welcome to make a Hard (3P) Knowledge check if interested.

AD-hoc replies to Ken "I would advise . . . caution. That is a Separatist tactical droid. While it would be difficult to guess what it would do when activated, know that it could do it. Assuming that it has not been reprogrammed"
OOC:
I guess I can use the advantage to pass a boost die to anyone that wants to tinker with or restrain the Droid?

Rolls

Knowledge - Warfare

4 Success, 2 Advantage, 2 Failure

Total: 2 Success, 2 Advantage

Meebo looks to see if the droid has a restraining bolt on it. If it does, he starts looking around for the associated remote.
Aug 13, 2022 11:12 pm
OOC:
There is not a restraining bolt in sight. AD-hoc knows that there is a good chance this was the commander of whatever this place was. And, possibly related, AD-hoc was shut off remotely with no warning at the end of the Clone Wars.

Ken has no experience of droids or military tactics, 'So, before we restore the power. What sort of facility would have a separatist droid in it, and what is going to happen when we bring it back online?'
Aug 16, 2022 3:44 am
OOC:
Seems like Ken's question was to the group. AD-hoc is possibly the only one with real insight. Which would be that the Separatist used Tactical droids everywhere. They were highly invested in Droids over Organics and put them in command mostly everywhere.
