Stats are rolled (and how) or pointbuy?

Custom character sheets should be allowed now. Stats are rolled as 4d6 drop lowest, but if you don't like rolling feel free to use point buy or standard array. If you're rolling maybe hold off until you're on the discord server that way I'm able to have the character stats all in one spot.

Maxwell is is a young idealist, who believes in the heroic paladins. For one reason or another he never became a paladin, but has replicated a lot of the paladin splendor with geminfused techonology.

Going to hve a look at the those variant dragonborn before completely deciding on PC but will ask Rune -> Would you rather there not be and actual Paladin in the party?

If I did go Paladin is its standard deities (Melora comes to mind)? Or do you have some homebrew ones?

That is the core of his character - He admires the paladins, total fanboy, so he makes the tech version

Honestly, all I knew is that simple rolls could be done, but after checking that out I am enlightened. Feel free to roll stats here if that's what you'd prefer. The discord is where I have a common hub for all of my games so as to not repost things like lore articles and such many times over plus it gives another way for people to reach me with questions / @ me if I'm not responding or checking up on things here for whatever reason.

Good question. There are only a few gods that are venerated on this continent as it is the birthplace of dragonkind and is sort of removed from the rest of the world. As such, the following dragon gods are worshipped:
Non-homebrew: Bahamut and Tiamat
Homebrew: Cathrax (God of Gem Dragons), Khrainos (God of Time), and Varahosst (Recently resurrected brother god of Tiamat. Holds dominion over the 'lost' chromatic dragons)
Paladins do not require a deity though as they get their power from their conviction to uphold their oath.

In lore, the reason for there being so few gods was a massive 'civil' war wherein the draconic pantheon was cut into pieces. There's also a sort of 'big bad' for the entire setting who has done his part in culling gods and thus thinned the herd even more.

Edit: Okay interesting, not the best I've had but definitely not the worst. If I went for kobold would you allow the Tasha rule to swap that +2 dex to charisma (or something else), or is that set in stone?

Hmmmm, I've honestly never used that and I'm not really the biggest fan of it, but I'm willing to try it out for this game. Especially since that's the only stat increase for a kobold if I'm not mistaken

Since everyone rolling in this thread, so will I. Note that I plan to keep Kobold but work hard on character pro prevent being a problem in the party because kobold must avoid any action during day-time, while other races would like to sleep during the night.

I usually hate rolling but I'll bow to peer pressure... unless the rolls are truly horrible :P

Maxwell A Theodor is the son of a renowned pair of adventures. This pair of dragonborns were the rouge and sorcerers of the adventure party. There was also a paladin in that group, a paladin that Maxwell idolised. With a boyish glee he vowed that "I'll be just like you when I grow up". Why it couldn't be I don't know yet.
He used his technical aptitude to craft himself an armour so he act like a paladin

What the adventure group is known for I don't know yet.

I might use the custom background rules to change the skill/tool/language and equipment as I don't feel that a disguise kit would really work for a Dragonborn. Do many distinguishing features


Question for GM: I would like to have the Homunculus Servant, but for that he needs to have a 100gp gem/crystal. That is a bit out of the range of the starting budget. Can we wave the initial 100gp cost? Or is this the reason why he is going treasure hunting?
