Boz thinks he saw the faintest shimmer in the space at the edge of vision, almost as if some stray bit of light had reflected off a surface. Only, when he focuses on that general area, there is no surface in the spot off which to reflect, there is nothing but empty room there. The glimmer lasted only a fraction of a second, and then is gone.

Lilac sees nothing, and the android does not seem to either. Of course, the momentary disturbance would have been behind the android's left shoulder, about 30 feet back.

Um, OK. Maybe you're right... I want to ask it one more thing.

Pi, would you ask it if it recognizes that octahedron from the other ship? Maybe embed the photo I sent over into the displayed text if you can.... Oh, and also ask it if there have been other 'visitors' to the station before us, since its last contact with the Makers.

Pi sends Lilac's request back, the strange text accompanied now by a zoomed-in picture of the strange object found on the derelict vessel. Showing it to the android, it replies "I have seen such an object once before. Its owner, one of the Makers said it was found on the planets orbiting Bikiak. Even he did not fully understand what it was and it seemed to exhibit unusual properties. I do not have much more I can add regarding it. Also, the only visitors I have had contact with since the departure of the Makers are the Gor. Though it is possible that others have come and I would not know if they did not come to this specific spot. It was only your proximity that awakened me."

A concerned-sounding voice breaks into the comms even as Boz realizes it has probably been less than four or five minutes since last check: "No response as yet. We've sent a second team to investigate their last known location. It's like there is some sort of static interference with the comms in that area."

Oh he actually means in here...

Lilac adjusts her stance to mirror Boz's, then looks around and brings her pistol back into ready position before replying. Let's get back to the Kukuri and talk over everything with Xandar face to face. We can also top off our suits.
