Okay, pick a target and roll Psychic to throw your tree. There are six gargoyles (A, B, C, D, E and F), and two that look different than the others, one larger and more muscular (G) and one slimmer (H).Sep 6, 2022 4:03 am
As the gargoyles begin to come flying in, Sun Li hides amidst the trees. There was a large group of them including one that was much thicker and muscular and one that was slimmer in form. If he could eliminate the heavier duty enemy, it would allow his comrades to focus fire the weaker targets. Even some level of harm would give them an advantage. The man's eyes glow with a purple aura as he focuses his will on a nearby pine tree. The branches would all snap upwards, leaves being shaved off until the tip cracked and ripped to a sharpened point. Encased in psionic power, the mind melter would focus his power and launch the tree at the heftiest gargoyle approaching.

The tree trunk flies through the air, crashing into massive gargoyle, knocking him backwards and to the ground. He crashes down, then climbs back to his feet, and laughs. His voice is deep and gravelly, like stones grinding together.

With the larger of your foes down on the ground, the slender gargoyle has taken up the lead position of the flock. Lanval's blast takes him in the chest, and he too drops to the ground, although manages to land with more grace then his fellow. He shakes his head and grins.

Cass summons her armor and sword, and flings herself at the skinny one on the ground. Her cyber gear flashes, glowing in the light as she attempts to slice the grounded gargoyles as her companions knock them from the sky.

Sorcery! So they were in for a real fight. The thrust of their offense had been spent. He could lunge in among them and lay about, but they had been caught off-guard. The remainder of the gargoyles swooped in, and the counterattack was about to begin.
He crouched, putting two winged arms high, the other two weaving complex mudra at waist-level. The brilliant sky overhead turned slightly, as he called down its favor, bright white billowing mists gathering around him and then bursting upwards. Crystalline cloud-shards shimmered overhead, creating a dazzling display of color and light, blanketing their position in a prismatic mist hovering just above their heads - or at the waists of the towering gargoyles, who would be forced to peer through to pick out their targets...
Using the Stunt Cloud Magic: Because I am skilled in Cloud Magic, I get a +3 to Create Advantage with Lore when under the open sky.

The big gargoyle laughs again. His skin ripples, and turns to stone! He lumbers over to Cassiopeia and swings his gigantic axe at her. Cass you may dodge using Athletics, or try and absorb the blow with Physique, or use some other wild and crazy defense I haven't thought of. The target number you need to beat is seven.

In the absence of an OOC thread...I did put the Aspect on the environment - You can invoke the Dazzling Mists to turn that from a disaster into a modest failure, or re-roll.

Cassiopeia withstands most of the blow, but suffers one shift of damage. You can absorb this with stress or take a Minor Consequence. Personally I would use stress, as I think a Minor Consequence is wasted on one shift.
Next the slender gargoyle opens his mouth and a gout of flame erupts from it. He tries to engulf Cassiopeia in it.
