Newbie here

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to pop in a say hi. Heard about this on the Modifier podcast and it sounds like a great way to play more narrative based games. My crews at home are more into the mechanics and crunch of PF and 5e but I'm really hoping to to get into Dungeon World and some other powered by the apocalypse games. I'm new to PbP but I'm pretty excited to give it a shot. Thanks for being a welcoming community!

Welcome tawlguymat! PbP definitely leans to the RP, as I mentioned in the cast. I'm not sure we've seen any Dungeon World yet, I think because it's harder to implement for me, but even the usual, more mechanical games become RP focused in PbP. I'm running a DnD 5e game where it's probably what would be on the table 15 minutes, and so far, one roll.

Welcome tawlguymat. As you might have guessed, as the game becomes more narrative, the system becomes less relevant. I believe that a DW game was ran on here, or at least it was discussed if it never got off the ground. Good luck!

Welcome! I too interested playing in Apocalypse world engine powered games. It think it can work great for PbP format (GM does not roll dice, and games more RP focused). But I haven't played games using this system, I may be wrong.
