After finishing off the guards in the party hall, Rhugo looks around suspiciously and reaches into one of the two dozen pockets that his vest has and retrieves - a relatively, unharmed handful of Crispy Undercooked Naturally Toasted Shrimpsℒ️ and takes a moment to savor the C.U.N.T. Shrimps and listen to that beautiful and deeply emotional song. That is until he remembers that their breathing paycheck was hauling ass.

He snickered, as he quickly made his way to the catering elevator. The quick and clean way to get to the garage.

As Damak and Ash pursue the Governor and his guards up the tower to the penthouse ship garage located on the top floor of the Spire, Ash activates his wrist pad remote. Down in the dark parking lot on the far side of Ohsun Gardens, the Khopesh IV autopilot turns on.

By the time the chase reaches the garage, the sleek jet-wing had sped over the gardens, rocketed up the side of the tower and just as the launch bay doors were opening for Rendar's escape, it swoops inside, before banking hard to arc towards it's owner.
Windyridge says:
Damak blows through her o-shaped lips, dispersing the foam peanuts like snowflakes around her as she chases after the governor who is about to get away in his piece of crap jet.

"Ash! More guards over there. Dammit, we are going to lose him, unless....."

Taking aim at the jet, she hopes to blow a hole in it enough to ground the ship. Then storm the jet and grab the guv and hope the guards don't shoot her first and Ash covers her.
Ash nods to Damak and replies, "Go for it ... I'll cover you!"

Timing his jump perfectly, Ash engages his mag-boots as the Khopesh IV streaks by, landing on the wing of the blade-like ship like a surf board carving along an invisible wave.

Spiraling around the interior of the garage, Ash unleashes a barrage of blaster fire from his own pistol as well as his ship's blasters towards the shocked and dizzying guards to provide a screen for Damak's attempted capture of the Governor.

Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew!
Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew!

I'm grabbing the "once per game" chaos pool for this one!

Roll: Base + Carnage + Combat + Shooting + Blasters + Chaos Pool

Rolls

Dice Pool + Chaos Pool - (6d6+6d6)

(425322) + (535344) = 42

"The garbage chute? Really?" You'd think Rik would sound annoyed, but in fact his voice is full of excitement. In his mind he sees himself jump in and slide down, head first. Just like that guy, "Ethan Chase" in the movie "Assignment Improbable IV". Yes, just like that. I'll be SO cool! He thinks. "Alright, I'm jumping in!" .... "Right after this song."

There is no way he's going to leave the party when the band starts playing his favorite tune. Unfortunately, by the time Rik gets a mental shove from Mina, the others have already taken the chute exit. Now he looks over and locks eyes with Grego Kane. They've had words in the past, and the look on Grego's face in this rage is not a pleasant one. Just a few more swipes before he runs out of guards to kill, and Rik might be next! "Mina, don't follow me. I have a plan to get Grego where we need him."

He abandons his previous plan and makes a run to the tower elevators, frantically pushing the "going up" button. "Come on... come on....come oooooooonnn" He says, every now and then peeking behind to see if Grego has run out of guards yet.

Rik knows the doors won't open without a key card, even when they reach his floor. If he can time it just right, Grego will take out the remaining guards, run to come and maim Rik, but Rik will dodge his charge, sending Grego into the elevator. That cybernetic arm will make short work of those doors. Then he just has to push the button for the space garage.
OOC:
If Grego has to roll anything to make this happen, I'd like to give him my carefully crafted plan.

"Okay, Rik, I'll trust you," Mina says as she dashes after Damak. "But I kinda hate plans!" She sprints out towards the landing, intending to use her staff to pole vault herself to the ship and magnetize her boots so she can run along its surface.

Rolls

Drive + Staff + Boots - (4d6)

(6332) = 14

rolling opposed.... First for the guards opposing those attacking them, then an opposed roll based on the base level of the Chaos Pool. Huge roll, but Ash's was better, by one. I interpret that as he gets to do what he wants to do, but massive collateral damage.

I know Grego hasn't acted, but moving ahead anyway.
Damak lays down some fire, but Damak knows just where to aim and blows the crates that the guards are behind (insert twin Wilhelm screams -- that's right, two simultaneous Wilhelm screams -- the wonders of the future are limitless).

Meanwhile, Ash summons his craft and leaps on, Mina by his side, and the Khopesh IV unleashes a torential rain of fire power. The garage is lit in raging inferno of blaster radiation. The paint, the synthcrete, even the air itself ignites as the battery of the flying weapon is unloaded into the (hideously unmodified) luxury yacht.

@Chalrytharendir, care to narrate what happens next? Total victory, with massive collateral damage.

Rolls

2 guards - (4d6)

(6333) = 15

Base suspicion level - (6d6)

(615656) = 29

Grego is sometimes that predictable. After tossing the last guard aside, he sees Rik by the elevator, and in his bloodlust, rushes at him, laser sword still drawn. The elevator stops on our floor just as Rik dodges Grego's charge. Grego's sword impales the elevator doors, and while getting it free, Grego cuts a hole in them large enough to step into.
OOC:
Do I need to make a roll here?

OOC:
You sure can! Always room for more mayhem.

My pleasure!
With Mina on the jet-wing by his side, the chaotic blaster fire from the Khopesh IV works perfectly! The guards are dispatched and the Governor's ship is disabled. Explosions on the ship cause the Governor to jump overboard. He lands on hands and knees right between Damak and the elevator, its door dings to announce the arrival of Grego.

The Governor's eyes frantically search for any other escape options and settle on a nearby garbage chute. Although, hope quickly fades as Rik and Rhugo tumble out and block his way.

Unfortunately, just as everything seems to have gone according to plan, another explosion from the governor's yacht knocks over the support of a neighboring booster rocket. The rocket slowly tips over, smashing onto the garage floor.

However, instead of exploding and instantly incinerating everyone in the garage and likely the top 10 floors of the Spire, the crash trips the rocket's ignition switch, causing it to launch sideways, smashing a giant hole in the garage wall and blasting erratically into the night sky over the city.

FFFFRRRRHHHHSSSSSSHHHH ... BANG!!! ... RRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Everyone's nerves begin to relax as the sound of the rocket fades ...

... in fact time seems to stand still as everyone watches the comet-like object eventually stabilize. It flies over Ney Anki Temple leaving a beautiful picturesque arch of contrails over the religious landmark ...

... and then slams into Kerensky Mega Tower. The ensuing explosion and shockwave rattles the entire city!

Almost immediately the rolling wail of sirens can be heard from the Space Naval Academy where a squadron of Imperial pilots from the Core are scrambling to their fighters to respond as sparks and debris shower down on the city from the collapsing tower.

Even Ash looks taken aback by the sudden and unexpected collateral damage and escalation of the situation. He lands the Khopesh IV gently next to his colleagues, still standing on the wing and just says innocently, "Well, at least we got the Governor, but I guess we should probably get going. It might be a little tricky finding a way off planet through that squadron of fighters."

Sometime later...

The aftermath is predictably mundane. Ambulances, disaster relief, recriminations, galactic addresses by the head of the Government, curfews, lockdowns, strip searches, speeches, and a run on the three seashells. At least, for the first two hours, then everyone returns to normal. More or less.

A glitch in the matrix had wiped all footage of the incident at the governor's mansion and replaced it with an annoying old-timey cartoon of a depressed train engine. Who and why? No one says.

You've agreed to meet the Bounty Hunters' Guild representative Rayce Gunnar once more at the seedy space-port bar called Falling Pieces. You find him at his favourite booth, and he spreads a map of Adranus City.

"All of these places are off limits. Maybe the hunt is not official anymore but of the books they're bringing in some big names to hunt down you bozos. You got the governor, I'm sending him off planet, and the Sluggos have kicked in an extra 10k for the excellent highlight reel that now only they have, thanks to some heavy handed hacking. With the extensive damage, comes extensive rebuilding, and that's profit for everyone."

He passes out six badges. "Arthir Graeyam, capo for the Peaky Blinders (tm) had invited you to the Kennel Club Black Tie Poodle Parade next week. It's on the Sigue Sigue Sputnik Memorial Cantina and Space Station, just a teensy bit outside Government patrol routes. He also says, 'bring guns and wear your brown pants: it will be a parade to remember' and he offers each of you 50% more than your standard fee."

Each of you have made names for yourselves in the past, but together you've made something much more lasting. A mayhem for yourselves.

Okay that sounded berter in my head.
Thanks for joining me for Bounty Hunters in Space. Honestly, I don't think I ran it right. The rules didn't make complete sense to me and so I just kind of frakked it with a bazooka and patched it together with some duct tape. But each of you brought your own personal stank and glommed onto the mayhem I wanted. So to me, it was a complete success!
