Huge fan of both the original Ghost in the Shell and Stand Alone Complex, definitely cyberpunk in genre no doubt about it. Ground car is perfect and your sheet looks good to me, everyone else used a character generator through the CPR app so I'm sure yours is fine. It's not an overly complicated system. Carlisle's clan was never defined as he was just a means to an end (NPC with a car) so you have free reign to detail your clan as much or as little as you like.
One point of order regarding the CP anime is that it takes place a decade or two in the future from the point in time the RPG takes place. In the anime they have a lot of wireless and internet capability that aren't fully present in our timeframe. Our's also stays true to the original William Gibson book and places Night City in Japan. The mood is grittier and more film noir than the anime but I feel like it's still good to watch for the style and lingo.
1. Yeah. Ghost in the Shell and Stand Alone Complex was AMAZING - for my much younger self especially:) I liked the most some of those "single story episodes" with specific atmosphere. Some were "noir" in feel to me too:) I think there was one about boxing guy and Batou was the main character or something like that? It was one of the best for me. Will have to watch it again I think:)
2. About the PC sheet - there were some differences between the sheet here and one cyberpunk red - but I checked it with a book, and now I think it is all good:
- 45 HP (not 43) - as Neon has WILL 6 and BODY 7.
- Humanity: 36 as he has 5 base EMP and only Interface Plugs and Neural Link so far. What brings him to final of 3 EMP ? But CyberPunkRED site counted 29 for him, what was strange.
Are those correct?
3. Speaking of which: can I buy a cyber eye for Neon with the starting cash ? But it will bring him under 30, to 29 and leaving him with only 2 at EMP? Isn't 29 and especially 2 EMP a little to less?
4. The clan and exchanging Carlisle for Neon. As I have written in RP thread:
OOC:
I thought that there should be some reason why Carlisle is "exchanged" for Neon and it could be some kind of order from higher ups in their nomad family's ranks. What does it mean or could mean - I don't know yet:) Hope we will develop it together if there will be such will.
Was anything established about the Carlisle or his clan already?
Thinking about it something more: I envisioned it as mafia-like structure with some kind of religious aspects. So "Father" could be equally read as Godfather of the clan or... a clan's priest that is higher at the structures...:) What do you think about those ideas - gang?
Also I think it is(or could be) interesting that this exchange happened... "right now". And why Neon would be sent by the head of the clan to join a group? Could it have some additional meaning or was just a way to make some money and power for the clan?
