This is a place for any out of character discussion.

First of all, I want to welcome the four of you to the game. Thank you for the interest.

I'd like to start sometime next week if possible. Preferably, I'd like for your characters to be submitted by Friday of next week 9/30 at the latest. I'm happy to help as much as I can if you need any guidance on that. If I don't hear anything from you by Friday (even if it's just hey Justin, I need a little more time) then I will open your seat back up for recruitment. Not to be a hard-ass, but player disappearance can be an issue on GP, and it's kind of a bummer when it happens to a game that you're enjoying. My hope is that the game will be relatively short-ish and engaging enough that we won't lose any players.

A little bit about the world and play style: This is a homebrew setting, it isn't too different from the real world. Magic is rare, non-human characters are rare, but they do exist. I will provide art for NPCs and flavor when relevant, but I probably won't create a ton of maps, but will do my best to describe locations. Also, feel free to populate the details. For example if I say, you're in a kitchen, you can say, I open the cutlery drawer and grab a fork or whatever.

I had a fifth player who asked for an invite while the game was still open, so I went ahead and invited them into the group. Recruitment is now closed at five players.

Hey guys, just a quick check in. I'll update the story on Monday, just wanted to see how everybody is enjoying it so far. Personally, I feel like we're in a pretty good pace, it feels like I'm starting to get a sense of your different characters and I'm excited to see where it goes.

No worries about being on the road SchadDad. I think my approach is to try and keep things moving, but still giving you guys time to respond, twice a week is the only requirement, and as long as you do at least once a week so that I know you're still playing, you might just get auto-piloted a little bit.

I am enjoying it. I am amused that our characters separated so quickly when we hit town. Luckily, it's a small town.

I started out with a goodie two shoes pally, who quickly got irritated in a very human-like manner with the heat lol

I would think the clash of metal on metal could be heard everywhere in this one-donkey town.

Great job, the adventure party has successfully gathered information on the kidnapper and pretty much stomped on any aggressors they've encountered. Let's award 50xp each player while you guys decide what to do next with the Clayton crew. I'm going to be travellng for work next week, but I will try to continue to update, and in general don't expect too much from me on the weekends.

I want to apologize for the game slowing down a little bit. I'm coming up on a deadline on a project and I've been very focused on completing that work. I will make an effort to make sure I continue updating the game at least twice a week moving forward.

I’m invested. As long as I know we’re going to keep moving forward- worth the wait.
