The Meeting...

Tuesday September 1st 2020...

It has been a dreadfully dreary day. Type of day that make you want to curl up next to a fireplace with a good book and a Cup O’ Joe. The sky is completely overcast with a slight misty drizzle. The weather forecast predicts this weather for the rest of the week. It might even get worst with possible sever storms heading this way.

You missed a call last night. Waking up this morning your phone is blinking with the tall tale sign of a voicemail. Snatching your phone, calling the voicemail, "Please Enter your Pin Number followed by the pound key." Punching your pin "Welcome to your Orion Wireless voice mail. You have 1 missed message. First missed message sent Monday Auguest 31st 11:18PM" A brief pause then the sound of a panicked out of breath familiar voice. "Felix...They found me." Background you can hear him running and the rustling of branches and the distance sound of off road vehicles "Find my Boy. Explain everything... Tell him..." You hear a distance loud shot, the man and the phone both go silent...
Grabbing your coat and gear you hop in your car and head out. After a few hours drive you turn down a long forested road and park your car by an old Log Cabin in the woods...

Your father still isn't home. It has been just five days which is sometimes normal for him. You're still worried but school calls... After a quiet normal day of school you head back home. You start grabbing some gear to go searching for your dad when an unknown car drives up your driveway and parks in front of your house...

After a busy afternoon of editing some videos for your feed you receive a message from one of your followers. The Follows name is Doctor Neon. Their message was pretty short. "Check this Vid" With a Video below and a set of GPS coordinates.

The video is rough and blurry at times and the view comes from above perhaps from a drone. It shows a man running through the woods. Darting between trees, jumping over fallen logs, and rolling behind bushes. His speed and agility is truly stunning. The Drone is struggling to keep the man in frame. The drone pans to behind the man and you see 4 AVT chasing after him. Panning back to the man he is still running for his life. He pulls out a cell phone and fumbles to make a call. With the cell phone in one hand he keeps running checking every so often to see if someone answers. A look of relief then frustration flashes over his face. He starts talking into the phone as he keeps running. Behind him the ATV have gotten much closer. A man leans out the side of one of them with something that reminds you have a RPG from some games you played. He fires and a large net flies out and traps the man. The net surges with electricity and the man goes limp. The 4 ATV surround him 4 guys get out and haul the now still man into the back of one of the ATVs. They drive off...

After watching the video a few times you notice a few very interesting details.
The man's face, chest, and arms are extremely hairy, his face is elongated almost wolf life, his hands are claw like and you can see sharp claw like toes ripped through his shoes.
The ATVs all had a logo on the side. The Logo belongs to a company called Atlas. Atlas do a lot of research in the technology, medical, and military fields.

You pull up Google Maps and look up the GPS. It leads into the middle of a nearby forest. Scrolling around on the map you find a small wood cabin and a few side roads that are nearby. You grab your stuff, hop in your car and start heading that way.

Logan looks out of the window check father's table drawer and cries Mum, where's father's planner? Perhaps new customer. Father told to never turn down those who come in person.
Mother cries back from the kitchen Table drawer?
Logan sigh takes a piece of paper and a pen, then cries Where is my Jäger hat? he looks few years older in that hat and try to wear it when facing customers other than children. Father keeps saying "first impression is most important".
Mother answer Can't it still be in your travelling backpack? And be careful, this isn't the weather and a usual date for hiking booking...
Mom... he wants to object, but picks the belt with a knife on - it could only improve an impression:


Logan comes out of the log cabin dressed in grey sport trousers, dark-green pullover, heavy boots and fancy hunting hat that looks like from last century. A hunting knife in sheath on the belt looks funny on him, because sport trousers do not suppose wearing a belt. He is heading towards the car with a made-up smile on his face, waving his arm in a greeting.

The man who steps out of the silver Ford Taurus looks to be in his early thirties. Tousled chestnut hair, bleary eyes squinting behind sunglasses, well-cut but rumpled black suit, patent leather shoes crunching on gravel.

"Hi there! I'm looking for Logan. My name's Felix. I'm a friend of David's."

Right! Sure. I'm Logan, nice to... Smile slowly disappears fro Logan's face as he is trying to understand why would dad's fried be looking for him instead. Wait why?
Young man stop walking and start sniffing air and looking around. Do you know where he is?

"I wish I knew where," Felix runs a hand through his hair and sighs. "I'm afraid something bad's happened to him."

Felix goes on to tell Logan how he and David know each other, about the Cassano crime family, and shares the voicemail with him.

Logan relaxes and invites Felix to meet David's wife Mara. He share his desire to go look for his father that has only increased with the new information. He need about 30 more minutes to pack.
They have found me. They have found me. he keeps quoting father. A young man believe he will be able to track them, though have no idea how.

For obvious reasons Mara is begging Felix to assist Logan in his attempt to find David and to hold Logan of any reckless actions.

"Of course I'll do everything I can. Apart from the fact it's part of my job to protect him and his family, I consider David a friend."

Felix watches Logan approvingly as the youth prepares his gear. "Apple didn't fall far from the tree."

"Excuse me, I just need to make a call. I know someone who might be able to help pinpoint the location from where David sent the voicemail."Felix dials Piper's private mobile number from his smartphone.

The phone rings a few times then a soft and very friendly female voice answers. "Piper's Peculiar Products. This is Piper Speaking. What can I do for you?"

"Piper, it's Felix. I need your help. Could be life-or-death. Someone left me a voicemail last night on this number, I need to know the location they sent it from. If there's one person who can do it, I know it'd be you."

"Thanks, P!" Felix says, but she's already ended the call. He watches the video. Is that... David? Should he show Logan? "Find my boy... explain everything..." Well maybe David and Logan have some explaining to do themselves.

"Logan, I think you need to watch this video I just received."

It is not a surprise but a despair on Logan's face as he watch. It takes time and a few re-plays of the video for Logan decide: doesn't look like he anyone else to choose to trust, but Felix.
Felix, was it? Should you indeed be a fried of my father... how much you know about him? We don't tell anyone. We didn't. And now ... They got him. I guess it is just a matter of time before they realize my genes are also affected.

Feeling wretched Logan shares the fact of father's genetic mutation the whole history of the lecantropy as much as he knows it. Logan do not hide the fact that he has genetically inherited the the disease as he calls it, though it has mutated in his organism and has less visual manifestation of the transformation.
It is a relief to finally share with someone, but afterwards he feels emptied and depressed. So he sit there in the chair lost in his thoughts.

Felix himself had a complicated relationship with his father , so he hesitates a moment before putting his hand on Logan's shoulder.

"I always felt there was something different about your dad. For what it's worth, I think it could be a gift rather than a curse. But it's not for me to say. Regardless of how you feel about it though, your abilities might be what we need right now to save him. Are you with me?"

Wait, what? Do you mean to break in and rescue my father like in a thriller? Are you a criminal sort of? Logan is surprised, but not thinking much guess I finish packing and good to go. I was about to go search him regardless.

"I'm a federal agent actually," Felix says, leaving out the part that he's indefinitely suspended, probably gonna get fired, and that they're probably about to break a bunch of laws.

"I owe it to your dad to at least try. I've got a location of where he made that call, so I suggest we start there. That logo's another lead. Uh, do we need to tell your mom or what?"

Oh, right, show her the video, she may spot something we have missed. Or the company logo may be familiar to her. She got that 3rd aye, you know, will be back
Logan Mara he shared the secret with Felix and that they for video with farther. He is meanwhile going to the shed to pick machete and hatchet as well as Longbow and a quiver with arrows.
We may need some of these, right? he double checks with Felix

"You never know," Felix shrugs. If Logan's anything like David, Felix knows the boy'll be handy in a pinch.

Felix makes Mara promise to be careful and to call him if anyone comes snooping around here. That done, Felix and Logan drive off and head northeast. Felix texts Piper, "On route to location."

"Copy that. Thanks, P." Felix changes destination on his GPS navigation and updates Logan.

"We've got a location on your dad, or at least on the guys who took him. There were four guys in the video but we don't know if there are more. You ready for a fight?"

Fight you say. They took father like a kitten. I hope you know what you are doing. Logan swings his machete in the air performing an attack maneuver father taught him. He has been teaching me to fight for a reason after all. Let's not waste any more time. David is hardly having a good time as we speak

"I'm d4iving as fast as I can. But like you said, we can't just come in hot without a plan. And for that, we need intel. Hopefully, my friend can provide some, but you and I might have to do a bit of surveillance first."

"Go ahead, Piper. Logan and I are listening. And I assume that's your contact in the car behind us?"

Felix has of course put the call on speaker so Logan can also hear.

"Alright, it looks like we need to surveil the place the old-fashioned way. I saw we head in on foot. Logan's our outdoorsman here. What's your area of expertise, Walter?"

Who could have removed it from google maps? Logan picks his Binoculars and steps out of the car. He can't resist urge to spot any AVTs from the video. But soon he start observing surrounding - trying to figure out best path toward the warehouse that would make them not visible from drones and from warehouse (i.e. any woods/bushes would be best).

"It has been a while since I got into a fire fight, if you know what I mean. But I'm sure I can handle both lethal and non-lethal neutralising of these scumbags as needed. I'm also knowledgeable in the ways of the fey. I suggest we also study the nature of the warehouse too. It might be trapped with enchantments, considering that we may be dealing with professionals of the supernatural. Eh, sorry, do you take offense to that term, Mr Logan?"

Walter speaks with a German accent.

Logan takes time to watch surroundings through the binoculars

Walter squints at the warehouse, looking for anything strange, like odd graffiti and such.

Felix arches an eyebrow as Walter speaks so casually of fey, enchantments, and the supernatural. That sort of tinfoil hat talk gets you funny looks. That sort of talk got him in trouble at the bureau. He gives Logan a sideways glance. If the lad doesn't volunteer the fact of his or David's lycanthropy, Felix won't be the one to mention it to the older gentleman.

"I can't tell from here if there's a backdoor. We'll probably have to take a closer look."

Logan choose to ignore talking about fey or supernatural concentrating on the mission.
Agree. Using the only door next to the gates as the last resort. Let's move the bushes and take a look around for any windows, rotten walls, ventilation holes and such. he picks battery flare and few chemical light sticks. Arms with machete and hatchet, but leaves bow and heavy backpack in the car.
I don't like absence of any security measures he states if they have the resources to hide place from all the maps... he chose not to finish the statement

Felix nods in agreement. Something's not right here. "Let's move. Watch your backs. Remember, these guys are Atlas, not some dumb thugs."

Walter follows, having the other two take the lead.

The older man makes his way through the rain. Atleast his leather coat is waterproof, but it doesn't help much from being soaked underneath. He keeps his eyes keenly on the warehouse. Despite his age, he can still stealth and move somewhat gracefully. This was his training to be like an elf. Walter carefully steps through the forest with his new companions.

Felix stalks through the trees, trying to keep his shoes from squelching in the mud. He wishes he were in tactical gear instead of this damn suit.

looks like an ambush. Logan sniffig air remind me - why do we think David is in there?

Walter remains quiet, observing his surroundings and listening in to whatever plan his team mates have.

Felix notes Logan calling his father by his first name. "Piper tracked those Atlas ATVs here. With no other entry nor escape points I say we just go in through the front. Quietly. Come on."

Felix flips the safety off his firearm and leads the way sneaking along the front wall towards the door.

"ATVs, right!" Logan hesitates just for a moment. Then follows. When at the doors he puts his ear against the door and holds his breath. He would spend a least a few minutes trying to hear anything.

Walter follows after the two from behind. It's better for him to be the supporting fire if it does end up being an ambush.

Sloshing their way through the mud the group makes it right to the warehouse door.

Felix placing his ear to the door but only hears the the loud clatter of rain cascading off of the warehouse and it creaking in the wind. Otherwise the Warehouse is quiet.

Logan finds his battery flare and some chemical light sticks puts them into an easy to access pocket and simply goes in the building through the doors

With his ear pressed against the door, Felix is caught off guard when Logan barges past him! He quickly steps through after the impetuous kid, ready for anything.

Logan burst into the warehouse...Thankfully it was not locked nor trapped and it is empty...
The massive warehouse is pretty much empty. Ancient looking lights hang from the ceiling giving off very dim but efficient light.
3 pristine white shipping containers sit in a U shape in the middle. Sets of tire tracks head that way and then end.

Otherwise the building is empty...

Walter quickly follows in too, behind Felix. He takes in the interior of the warehouse. Looks very barren. However, the trio of shipping containers makes him feel suspicious.

"Shhh... We should check behind those containers. There might be someone there..." The hat wearing rifleman says as he carefully shuts the door behind him.

Felix nods and puts a finger to his lips. He moves right and motions the other two left.

Dad! whispers Logan looking at the containers and start running toward them, totally ignoring Felix's and Walter's call for caution.
This may not be obviously visible in dim light, but as he run his ears become larger. And the two don't see his face transformation slightly, though the only significant visual change - his nose flatten and ayes enlarge He sprints right toward the containers

"So much for tactics," Felix thinks, mentally kicking himself. "What did I expect, bringing the poor kid here?"

Moving farther into the warehouse, you all start to feel very uneasy, as if something is unquestionably not right here. It feels different like there is a strange energy in the air you just can't put your finger on it.

As you follow after Logan, you all start to feel very strange. Your ears pop, then start ringing, your head starts throbbing, your hands start shaking, your vision blurs, and your stomach quenches. 
The feeling overwhelms Walter and he looses his dinner all over the warehouse floor. 
The uneasy feeling and other ailments persist.

Logan while rushing closer you catch the unmistakable scent of your father in the direction of the shipping containers. He was here.. Less then an hour ago..

"Hrk! Oh god... hrrrk! I-I don't feel good..."

Walter becomes aware that this sickness had hit him all of a sudden as he gets near to the containers, not likely because of a bad meal he had recently. A strong feeling of foulness overwhelms him, and he instinctively takes steps back from them. As he tries to steady his breath, he watch the others not reacting as badly as he did, but it is clear he is not the only one to sense something disorientating.

Logan turns to Walter allowing to see his visual change. That feeling is not natural. My genetic mutation is not. We eat genetically modified food. Is the food supernatural?
Anyhow. Do you have any idea what is going on here? Are we poisoned?

Felix staggers. This was a bad idea. A very bad idea. "Yeah it's gotta be some kinda gas."

Logan realize that being scared to he just told more that he wanted to tell. He decides to back and get out of the warehouse to get some fresh air.
I think we are too late. Dad's no here any more. I mean ... David has been moved. Why would they leave him alone here?
And Logan runs out of the warehouse leaving door open hoping to ventilate the air somehow.

The Artefact Seller sees that Logan have changed a little. That, and the comment on his mutation, seems odd but Walter chooses to focus on the strange effect than the nature of Logan. The sickening phenomena might possibly be magical, or at least he is better at identifying if it is than natural poison gas leak...

Scrolling though Walters previous expertise with occult items and location one comes to mind that gave him a similar but lesser feeling the what he is feeling now. There was a Old forgotten mansion he once visited for an auction. Rumors said that the mansion was haunted or possessed and the previous family was found dead after only living there for a few months. You felt the same unease feeling there as you do here. Like being on Unholy grounds or a place where terrible things have happened and the spirits are restless...

And just like that, the sickening terror disappears. What the hell? Hallucinogens don't just switch off like that.

"Logan, where are you goi—?"

Walter still looks spooked. Felix shakes his head. It's all falling to pieces but he's gotta stay focused on objectives. He makes for the shipping containers.

Logan takes a few deep breaths outside and replyFelix. I'm going to open Gates to ventilate. Right? And I guess you better hold your breath not talking.

With the unnatural terror gone and nothing else stopping him, Felix inspects those shipping containers.

Logan takes deep breath outside. Then hold his breath and try to get to container again.

Walter visually shows concern about the warehouse now that he recalls what this sensation could mean. "Um, guys? I think something really messed up had happened here. This is hard to explain, but I sense an air of anguish here. Just... be careful.."

He wants imply to imply that a supernatural evil aura is present, but in case he is wrong, he doesn't want to make it sound like he is crazy. He will remain to keep his distance while the others investigate.

Felix tries the door to the container on the left.

The door is unlocked.
It opens to a mostly empty plain white shipping container.
Muddy boot prints lead up to a single stainless steel table with a single stainless steel folding chair in front of it.
On top of the desk is a single flat screen monitor, a wireless mouse and a Wireless keyboard And a simple rotary telephone.

Felix is curious about the workstation but first he checks out the other two shipping containers.

The right shipping is an exact replica of the left one. Everything is the same, The muddy prints, single steel table and chair, Computer set up and Telephone.

As you search around for access to the middle shipping container do can not find one...

Felix holsters his gun and takes out his smartphone to video-call Piper. When she answers, he shows her the computer terminal.

"What do you make of it, P?"

Waiting for Felix to make his call Logan nervously walks the muddy boot prints. He have came to conclusion: holding breath wouldn't help. So he is breathing slowly and trying to recall physics lessons... could it be ultra sound? Radiation?

Suddenly he stops for a second, then start running - Logan goes to check each char and computer: touches them: does any feel warm. Sniff them. Does it looks like they have been used/occupied recently?

Your Video-Call to Piper does not go through... Instead the Atlas Logo appears in the middle of your phone screen.

Underneath the logo subtitles scroll and a robotic voice message is played.
"THE RECEIVING AND SENDING OF VIDEO OR VOICE COMMUNCATION IS NOT ALLOWED WITHIN THE ATLAS WAREHOUSE FACINITY. ALL TRANSMISSIONS ARE BEING MONITORED, TRACKED AND RECORDED.
There is a few second delay then the message repeats but the Logo stays on your screen.

The chairs and desk are stainless steel cold. The Mouse, Keyboard, and phone appear to be used often. There is no dust or smudges of grim anywhere.
What you do smell is a the musty hint of some Old Spice cologne.

Walter feels his confidence returning as he takes steps back towards the containers, avoiding his own puke puddle as he does so.

There, he sees what the two other men have seen, of what looks to be an office space. He is also curious as to what Piper might advice back, but when the voice that replies back isn't her, he flinches to attention to what is happening on Felix's phone. With a rapid, silent gesture of his hand swiping horizontally across his neck, he mouths the word "Cut!" to Felix.

Logan try to find power on button on a flat screen. He is surprised the placein the middle of nowhere has electricity . He would also like to see if and how many wires the screen has and where it is going to.

Felix curses under his breath and hurriedly switches his phone off. He removes the SIM for good measure. All of his training is screaming to abort mission, but his curiosity—not to mention desperation to rescue David—win out in the end.

Gesturing for Walter to keep a lookout, Felix helps Logan investigate the workstation.

There is no Wires connected to the mouse, keyboard, and monitor. There is no button to turn on the Monitor either.

As the mouse is wiggled the keyboard and mouse wake up.
The keyboard's keys all glow softly white and the mouse does the same.
The screen however stays off and black.

Logan just breaks a screen, crashing it against a wall - just to see what is inside

"Whoa! Calm down, kid! Either these machines get us into whatever underground bunker or whatever's hidden out here, or they hold nformation we need." Good thing the kid only broke the monitor. Felix looks around for the hard drive.

Logan certainly shared his plan with the others and puts the monitor back when Felix disagree with his idea. He disagree though obey. Felix. This is just a monitor, you know?! Information is in the computer in the hard drive. Anyway, good luck to find power source for it.
Logan turns his attention to the phone - a strange device for him. Never seen one he is trying to push the digits and symbols visible there.

Walter is keeping watch at their backs, as Felix asked. Though he is also curious about the equipment in the container, and doubly so when they are start to glow. The self-titled historian is also alarmed when Logan seems to be about to destroy the screen.

"I don't know what you were thinking, but let us not tear apart this place unnecessarily yet. Even if all of this is strange, we could work with it through means other than violence..."

By now, Walter could probably tell that Logan is a little... uncivilised. His hairiness and bold maneuvers reveals animalistic characteristics. Walter won't remark about that, but has a feeling the creature in video he saw might be closely related to Logan.

Just wanted to see what's inside... Logan says in a tone he would talk to a teacher who just scolded him. Then shrug shoulders and goes to the other container for some privacy Don't you worry, will not break anything!
He sits on the chair at the second container, takes keyboard and imagine him being a hacker from a movie start typing commands like "on", "start", "boot", "open" hitting enter after each. He knows that being occupied with something help him calm down, even of that something is pointless.

"If I had to guess, based on the footsteps leading here and the other terminal, we need to input the correct access code simultaneously. Like nuclear launch codes. Maybe they even change the passkey each time. Let's try listening at the phone. Maybe we'll hear a voice prompt, or the code will show up on the screen."

"Walter, will you do this terminal while I do the other?"

Felix joins Logan in the other container. "Logan, we're gonna try something but we need you to keep a lookout. This could still be an ambush. Can you do that, buddy?"

whatever man Logan moves out of the containers loudly dropping keyboard on the table. He climbs up the middle container and sits down on top of it.

When Logan sits down in the other container the computer screen is now on. The screen is completely white besides the Atlas symbol on the top right hand corner of the screen. In the middle of the screen is a command prompt with a reticle waiting for imput.

Walter is in Container A. The computer has been messed with but the screen is blank.
Felix is in Container B. The computer screen is on. It is completely white besides the Atlas symbol on the top right hand corner of the screen. In the middle of the screen is a command prompt with a reticle waiting for imput.

Logan is sitting on top of the middle Container keeping an eye out for trouble...

With Walter alone in a container, he will carefully see what he could do with the computer set up. He will see if he can power on the computer. The glowing mouse and keyboard are a sign that they are on, so it is a curiosity how the screen is still off. Walter will tap on a key and any other buttons that might work.

(Edit): Walter will sit on the chair at the desk, since Felix mentioned that it is what turned it on. And that it is better sit down than stand when checking out a computer.

Walter does not see a button to turn on the PC. When he types on a few keys nothing happens..

The computer is waiting for input, so Felix picks up the receiver. But he doesn't type anything until he hears from Walter.

As Felix picks up the receiver the following message is played in a cheerful male sounding robotic voice.

"Atlas Warehouse Zero One Three is currently in a Level 5 Code Red Lockdown. Entry and Exit into Atlas Warehouse Zero One Three is currently prohibited by all sentient beings. For more information pertaining the Level 5 Code Red Lockdown please select Two Two Seven.
The message repeats...

A few random letters appear on the Computer screen in front of Felix. "Asdf"

Felix dials 2-2-7.

Over the phone there is a click as if switching lines or being transferred. Then a panicked and stressed female voice starts talking
"Acting Director Paige Parsons. Authentication code 036969." You hear screaming and gunfire in the background then her voice comes back on "Something got in. We don't know what it is or what it wants." The sound of a small explosion, Yelling and more gun fire. "We can't let it or anything else escape. Its getting closer" More gun fire, people yelling and some grotesque wet sounds. The lady comes back on talking a lot faster like she doesn't have much time. Access Override code 050125786775. Kill all code 341756249055. Main Terminal. Don't let them... The sound of a door or wall smashed open and flung, much louder gun fire, louder screaming, hideous sounds of breaking bones, people pleading or begging for their lives, ripping and tearing of flesh. Then silence..."

A few seconds pass of silence when the cheerful male sounding robotic voice appears. "To Replay the message please select One. Otherwise you may hang up at anytime. Thank you."

Meanwhile, Walter will pick up the phone at his side too, to hear if there is anything. If it is the same message from Felix's side then he will put it down, just to be safe that his voice is not recorded. And then maybe they will update each other about what happened.

Felix turns his smartphone back on and holds it up to the phone receiver to copy the audio recording. Something occurs to him upon seeing the random letters appear on his screen. He types...

As Felix type on his keyboard the command prompt stays blank. His message and words do not appear

Walter's screen awakes and shows a message typing out
W, Are you reading this? Pls. respond. -F

While listening to the automated message on the phone, Walter becomes distracted by the screen now displaying something. He decides to put down the phone back on the receiver and sit back down.

"Hmm... W? F?... Oh, Walter and Felix, perhaps."

He now types in the following:

Hello F! This is W. My screen works now. -W

Walter screen is completely white with the Atlas Symbol in the top right hand corner. The command prompt in the middle of his screen stays completely blank besides the worlds already present as he types.

On Felix screen The following words appear

Walter decides to double check on Felix's side after typing the message. As he does so, he should be able to see that the two computers are indeed linked to each other. With that confirmed, the pre-recorded message of the emergency situation from the phones shall be discussed. With that, Walter waits to see if Felix has a reaction to these findings, and maybe find other ways to get clues.
