Hello!

New player here! Like many others, I heard about this site through the DM's Block and wanted to give it a shot. I'm a busy professional without much time and would love to be able to squeeze in a nice game with a few posts a week.

I've been playing live games since ye olde 2nd Edition AD&D and would really like to play some 5e, perhaps in a group that's focusing on the current material being produced by WotC. I also have a preference to starting low and trying to advance through the system as we play. But if there's another group, homebrew or othewise, looking to pick up a moderately experienced player to round out a relaxed atmosphere group, let me know!

Welcome jonleepettimore! 5e is definitely popular here; in fact, I think there's a game or two currently looking for specifically new players. I recommend checking out the Gamers Tavern to see if people are recruiting players. And if you haven't read it yet, be sure to check out the New Player's Guide for advice on how you can get started.
