Numa isn't quite fast enough at the console to evade the ICE's boot sequence attack and the hellhound blades with intense heat that triggers an overload in Numa's deck! A sharp pain cracks through the runner's brain, rocking him like baseball bat to the head! To make matters worse Numa's deck overheats rapidly and back in meat space he can feel it physically catch fire! Time is short indeed...

Absolutely, you don't have to defeat the ICE to take other actions, but he will keep beating on you while you do it. Installing the virus will take 4 NET actions.

There is also your exit to think about...

Numa narrowly evades the hellhound's flames and finishes installing the malware that would root out his team's identity and erase it. Just before the ICE paunches another attack, Numa jacks out.

Upon jacking in, the Raven Microsyb Kestrel 2 activates both instances of Speedy Gonzalvez programs installed on Spacer's deck.

Turn One

Almost immediately, the digital form of Spacer takes on a buzzing, slightly jerky form. It replicates poor frame-rate in its design. She immediately activates See Ya and Worm and runs a Pathfinder check.

Recognizing that she is about to get torched by this thing, she zaps it twice.

Hellhound Turn

The Hellhound unleashes its Flames.exe upon Spacer, but she is just too fast for this thing. Her form flickers from existence only to reappear nearby, as though a glitch had occured.
