Character Introductions

Any volunteers to discuss how you know each other or your patron? This is an opportunity to introduce and describe yourself and create any possible links. You don't have to know everyone, as long as you know either your patron or one other person in the group.

Providence, New England, 1925

Your Patron: Josh Winscott - From a proud, once wealthy family, Josh makes a living writing magazine articles supplemented by occaisional short stories.

Gregory Bancroft - Parapsychologist
Percival Cross - Medical Doctor
Harmon Crankovitch - Antique Dealer
Max Wolf - Former Boxer
Leland Barlow- Book Dealer, Barlow Books

Yeah, I can see Leland and Harmon knowing each other, being in similar fields. Probably know some of the same people and contacts. Maybe run in some of the same circles. Leland may also have crossed paths with Gregory before also. Leland is a book dealer that specializes in rare books dealing with the occult and supernatural.

So, how are you guys doing that with your avatars? Having your profile pic thumbnailed in the corner or your character pic?

Once your character is on a sheet and that sheet applied to the game, I can approve it. Once approved, you will be able to post ‘in character’ which is how you’ll be posting during the actual gameplay

Under "Quick Reply" you should have a "Post As:" followed by a scroll-down list, you choose your character instead of Player, and voilà !

If you do not have the list you should ask the G.M. only he can add it, as well as save you during the adventure if he so chooses. Oh great G.M. see how I ho;ld thee in great respect !

​Sorry for lagging gents. Have had a sick family member on my hands for the last couple of days. I'll have everything up and going here shortly.

Leland's father is a well-known and respected figure in the book dealing community. Leland strives to gain his approval. Leland's older brother was the fathers favorite and heir apparent to the father's business until his untimely death in an auto accident. Leland lives in his brother's shadow and can never seem to live up to it or to please his father.

Leland knows Josh through Josh's writing of several occult and horror themed short stories. Josh came into Barlow Books one day doing research for a story he was working on. Josh has since used Leland's knowledge and resources often for his writings. The two have formed a friendly and professional relationship.

Leland knows Gregory in much the same way as he knows Josh. Through Gregory's use of Leland's knowledge and resources on the occult and supernatural.

Leland and Harmon have worked together in the past assisting each other in research, etc.

And Leland is acquainted with Max as the latter has visited Barlow Books on several occasions.

This sound reasonable to everyone?

On the subject of guns...

For those that have added handgun to their gear, can you confirm what you carry (Note 1920's only, ignore those listed as Modern)

Harmon crankovitch is a pretty unassuming guy. He is rather skinny, though he does have some muscle on him. He is also rather short at about 5'2". His skin shows the remnants of various diseases, looking beyond that his face is rather plain. He had brown hair and brown eyes.

Pablo is tall, a little over 6 feet, and husky. He has an overly big nose, pointed, elvish-like ears (he was born with Stahl's Ear), and a sorrowful gaze. He wears glasses.
