OOC:
A Hard skill roll is assigned if something is , well, hard. This is 50% of your skill. (An Extreme is 1/5th), so you'd need to roll again and get under 37. That is classified as a push as I'm giving you a second chance to roll, but if you fail, shit can go bad.Nov 4, 2022 9:51 am
Inspecting the walls, none of you are any the wiser. Serpent motifs predominate, some of which are enormous. Certain serpent designs are repeated, possibly having some sort of symbolic meaning. A white crescent appears on the forehead of many of the more elaborate serpent carvings. Abstract and geometric designs, zigzags, and spirals accompany the serpent carvings. Some of the carvings could be some form of curvilinear script, consisting of curves, curls and loops.

I was surprise by the result, but it is true that gettin 20 on a d20 is easier than on a d100, also 2/20 <=> 10/100. You have some luck with dice !Nov 4, 2022 2:51 pm
What do I hear...
Edit: "Oh you are the cutest little canary, aren't you? Just chirping happily in your cage," Percival chuckles to himself.

"Does anyone else hear that?", trying to discern where the sound is, but unable to. "Sounds like...rats?"
Nov 5, 2022 2:41 am
"Rats?" Leland says, obviously concerned. "I don't hear anything. He looks nervously around. "Are you sure? I'm not afraid to admit that I'm not overly fond of rats. Filthy, vile creatures."

I hear that as well. Might be rats, but might be something larger. Like a racoon or coyote. Harmon squints his eyes in hopes of seeing the source of the sound.

The moment Pablo and Harmon indicate the sound, you all stand quietly and listen. There it is! something scurrying, no way to know where it's coming from and you see nothing moving among the shadows, then the sound it is gone.

"All things considered, that is a might disconcerting," Percival says quietly. "I don't much care for what we've found, if I'm being frank, and I'd like to find Mr. Winscott and leave these tunnels post haste. I'm perfectly comfortable with people much more qualified than ourselves figuring out what all of... this... is."
His words are emphasized with a gesture towards the cavern full of oddities surrounding them, before his hand returns to rest on his grip of his 1911.

"Bah!" huffs Gregory. "This place is merely become a home for vermin, as normal. No need to fuss or worry."
He looks around for any further clues to Joshua's whereabouts.

"Well, regardless of what may or may not be down here, I think we owe it to Joshua to keep searching. I hate to think him down here hurt or lost. Leland looks around uneasily. "Rats or no rats."
With that, Leland continues searching.
