Gregory begins to climb down as well, holding on tightly to the rope.
OOC:
Don't have enough luck for this one. I am not going to push it.

Rolls

Climb (20%) - (1d100)

(87) = 87

OOC:
I do have a crowbar which might work.

A push won't be any more risky , so you can go ahead and try.

OOC:
Yeah, but failing a push is bad... I see pushing a roll being useful if you have a good percentage (over 50%) but not worth the risk if you have a low percentage (like 20%). Dice are fickle though, you can succeed at longshots and fail at sure things.
"Max... lend me your cane, won't you? I need to splint Leland's leg. It's bad enough he will still have to walk on it to get out, we have to isolate the break as best we can," Dr. Cross says, not taking his eyes off of the afflicted leg.

"Leland... I am certain it hurts, but how are you holding up?" Percival is genuinely concerned, but the question is also a good way to check for shock.

OOC:
I’m saying that this particular push won’t have any greater impact. There’ll still be the same 2d6 damage for falling
Nov 25, 2022 1:34 am
OOC:
Roll your 1d3 for your medicine, Percival
Nov 25, 2022 1:41 am
Ooc: Is there a roll Leland has to make to see if he is in shock or anything like that? Or just however I want to roleplay it?
Nov 25, 2022 1:50 am
OOC:
That was the Con roll which you passed, so you’re bearing it

Leland growls through gritted teeth, trying his best to choke back the pain as Percival sets about tending to the leg. "It hurts, to be sure," he says grimacing. "But I'll manage."

He pulls out his handkerchief and mops his brow with a trembling hand. "I'm afraid I've been more of a hinderance on our little expedition than any help. This is a fine mess I've gotten us into."
Nov 25, 2022 2:21 am
"Don't blame yourself, chap," the Doctor says, trying his best to reassure Leland. If this was at the hospital, or even in a home, it wouldn't be nearly so stressful... but this? This was another matter altogether. "Cave-ins, missing links, and carvings of serpent-people-eating-dinosaurs were not part of Mr. Winscott's pitch." He forces a chuckle, but also knows he isn't fooling anyone.
OOC:
If I'm right, Leland has had 2 HP healed - 1 from First Aid and 1 from Medicine. It isn't much, but it's better than 0.

Rolls

Healing - (1d3)

(1) = 1

Nov 25, 2022 2:30 am
OOC:
Correct. The major wound obviously remains which means if he gets down to zero health, he will be at risk of death. Leland's move is reduced by 50% and any physical skill checks will have a penalty die.

"Thank you, Percival," Leland says looking the work over done to his leg. "If ever we make it out of here, I owe you a pint or two." He tries to offer a smile to the good doctor, but it comes off more grimace than smile.
Nov 25, 2022 3:13 am
"I'll hold you to that," Percival says, offering a grim smile of his own.

With that, he unfastens the full sized fireman's axe strapped to his ruck. "Here. It's not ideal, but we don't have a proper crutch. Use this as a cane. Just be careful, it's sharp."

Max hands his cane to Leland

Take it, it'll help you walk, for me it is but a fashion statement.

OOC:
Actually, before you push Gregory, you have two bonus dice for using the rope structure set up by Max. Roll 2d10.

Bonus roll

Rolls

Bonus - (2d10)

(1010) = 20

"Thank you, Max," Leland says taking the offered cane. "A pint or two for you as well. I'll be in the poor house from buying pints for everyone before all this is over." Another half smile, half grimace as Leland tests out the cane and the leg. "It won't be pleasant but I think I can manage."
Nov 25, 2022 3:08 pm
OOC:
So with a 17, Gregory makes it down safely. That leaves Pablo and Harmon still up top.
Nov 25, 2022 3:55 pm
OOC:
The intent had been to use Max's cane as a splint for the broken leg. It's long enough, rigid, and light. The fireman's axe can serve as a cane to assist with walking, and additionally puts a weapon in Lelands hand.

Also, the humor of using a cane as a splint but another item as a cane isn't lost on me.

OOC:
Somebody mentioned a crowbar, so thought you were using that as a splint, but I'm happy either way
