Harmon's shot hits again, grazing the creature

The gunfire continues to ring through the chambers. The sparkles on the wall beside the creature begin to form some kind of portal. The creature prepares to enter.

Percival hurries into the tunnel, with Max and Leland right behind, and Gregory, still somewhat dazed, at the rear.

Then enter another chamber. The air in here is hot, almost like a tropical jungle, humid and filled with strangely scented perfumes. to the left is a pile of leather pillows and furs and a hot spring bathing pool. Nearby is a large alcove fenced off by iron bars in which a barred door is set, Pablo is on the floor, dragging himself toward the door. The walls are all covered with the carvings you've seen previously

To the right is some kind of enormous laboratory filled with bubbling alembics and retorts and equipment spread out on tables. Near the tables is a large gong. Harmon is aiming his gun a tall bi-pedal serpent creature, which is chanting and weaving its hands. Beside on the wall, lights glitter forming some kind of portal.
