Ah another one, what brought you down here? Are you seeking the prophecy, hehehahaha.
Jul 27, 2016 11:08 am
"The prophecy? Oh heavens no. I'm just looking for the way out. You wouldn't happen to know which way that is would you?"
OOC:
I would like to do an insight check to see what's going in with this guy. My passive insight is 14 and passive investigation is 20.

A way out? Ahah, how hilarious, there is no way out of here, this is a prison. Designed to trap the dead until they... Hollow. A way out indeed hehehe.
Aug 4, 2016 2:20 pm
"You dead? Are you not dead and trapped yourself? If there's a way in there must be one out.
Aug 4, 2016 8:57 pm
There is a path, but it is there only to give you hope. Hope is a dangerous thing, sets you up for dismay, and dismay for hollowing. But that path is no exit, it is guarded by a great demon, charged with slaying those undead who try to leave. I don't suggest going down this corridor, left up the stairs and leaping from the balcony, as that way leads only to madness. Hehehahaha

"Where is this path that leads to this great demon? And what about this prophecy? Perhaps I can help you with it. "
Aug 5, 2016 3:30 am
Wheren't you listening? , charged with slaying those undead who try to leave. I don't suggest going down this corridor, left up the stairs and leaping from the balcony, because there's a demon that way guarding the exit. As for the proffecy, haven't you heard? "They dying flame needs kindling, to show the cure to the eternal curse. So those in darkness seek the stones, below the undead church. With crystal souls of lords of old, the chosen stands be for the shrine. There knows that which is not known." he chuckles for a bit before continuing its all lies, part of a magnificent trap to bring us below. Hehehe

"Riiight"
Cornelious works his way down the corridor and up the stairs to his left until he is standing on the balcony.
Aug 6, 2016 12:09 am
Below you is a vualted room, the floor is littered with corpses but otherwise the room is empty. On the other side of the room is a wall of billowing grey fog.
Aug 6, 2016 2:25 am
Cornelious jumps down and examines the corpses, idly wondering why they haven't disappeared. Then he makes his way over to the wall of fog.
Aug 6, 2016 3:54 am
You do not get the chance to even approach the corpses. As you fall to the ground they begin to gather and form together into a large horrific beast. Black miasma falls from the monstrosities form and it screams a cry of such anguish it chills your bones.

The creature has coalesced in the center of this, a 40ft wide and 60ft long room. Your probably about 10 feet away from the rear wall and approximately centered, that puts you about 20 ft from the mass of corpses.

Your up first.
Aug 6, 2016 1:03 pm
Cornelious looks up at this monstrosity, and knows fear. Having already been weakened from being crushed by a boulder, Cornelious knows there's no way he can take this thing head on. Looking around the room for an avenue of escape all he can see is the smokey wall behind the demon. The way behind him also leads to an eternity of death, hollowing, and madness. That left only one option. Cornelious started running at the demon while muttering under his breath, as he gets to within 15ft of the demon, a silvery mist surrounds the mage until he's out of sight. Poof! Now 15 ft behind the demon Cornelious makes a mad dash for the smokey wall.
OOC:
so I cast misty step as a bonus action and used 20ft of my move action to get to the wall, if I can go through it I will and I'll use my main action to run as well
Aug 7, 2016 7:09 am
OOC:
Moving through the fog door will consume your action, but monster is unable to follow.
On the other side of the fog door is a small room, there is another chest lying up against the wall as well as a ladder leading up to a trap door.
Aug 7, 2016 12:21 pm
Cornelious smiles to himself, feeling more and more confident until he sees the chest.
" Oh no. The last one of these flattened me into a pulp. I should just leave it be, in the other hand I did get a nice flask. What should I do? What should I do? Ah I could check for giant rolling boulders, yes."

You are pretty confident that no boulders will roll into you, and that the chest has not been tampered with in any way.
Aug 8, 2016 12:15 am
Cornelious very cautiously opens the chest, still somewhat suspicious of his surroundings.
Aug 9, 2016 4:21 am
Inside the chest is a small black alright you know as a humanity, as well as a titanite shard.
Aug 9, 2016 1:48 pm
Rolling to see what I know about them.
Edit: After looking at the items Cornelious puts them in his pack and continues up the ladder. Hoping that he's almost at the end of this hell hole.
