Burying the Lead

The security turret fires automatically at Sergei as he reaches for the drone but the Russian is quick and drags the drone around the corner just in time.

Carlisle comes back on the comms,

Sixty seconds to exfil

Sergei finds that the drone is actually made of some sort of lightweight composite material and folds up conveniently into something that would fit in a backpack. He is able to get it to the mechanical room without trouble.

Brett dashes into the bio lab which is filling up quickly with the halon. He spies and object that looks like a metal case sitting atop a deactivated laser field. He grabs the case and his comms come online...

Please, get me out of here! I can't take it anymore!

Sergei makes it to the roof just in time to see the VTOL on the horizon. Flesher is there to greet him with a brand new sniper rifle.

Brett queries the interloper on comms and gets an immediate reply,

Who doesn't make sense, where I am is in the Faraday case you now hold.

Brett hears the 'ding' of the elevator bank from down the hall,

There are more hostile units incoming, time to engagement is seven seconds.

Brett's comms chirp again,

Eight individuals in ballistic armor with heavy assault weaponry, exiting elevators now.

Numa takes the case from Brett and runs for the maintenance room hatch while Brett covers his exit. Just as Brett reaches the end of the hallway he sees the first of the heavily armored troops pop out and launch a gas canister at him. Brett slams shut the service door and begins ascending the ladder to the roof.

Up top Sergei does a quick rundown of the drone and finds it has an LED readout that clearly indicates tracking capabilities though without tools he has no way of accessing the interior of the drone where such a big would surely be located.
