Chapter 20 - Alliances

"But... But..." he tries to protest, then finds no possible repost. He sulks theatrically in a corner.

"We'd better start making calls, it's getting late... Hey, if we say we're still a bit edgy for the Chet fight, and wanna stick together... I bet they'll let us off the hook. Parents are like that..."

We will say that between them they put together a solid mutual coverage plan, and that the parents comply.

The only parents out of reach are Al's, so they leave a message on the kitchen table to the effect that Al, Benny and Ripper are staying at Logan's for the night.

Unless Al prefers to wait for them to come home to tell them (but then, the dog will be obviously missing)
