Ok this game is beginning to feel like the anime Yu-Gi-Oh where they change the rules and pull shit out of their asses. I've been trying to stay but it seems like it's getting worse and worse as we progress.

The mechanics are a mess but the game is progressing. I'm in. Chaos reigns!

As long as DM understand that seasoned 5e players are having problems to understand reason DM deny them to do what they are used to do in 5e, explain that and propose options allowed in HIS game I'm also in.

By the way - if anyone interested - here is the Game Designer's official answer of the question
Quote:
A creature provides half cover, regardless of that creature's size.
This would technically mean +2 to AC

Well I guess, this will be my only D&D 5 mastery, for I do not like a number of rules. And I don't see how you can have a clear line of sight while there is two people fighting in the middle of the way.

And to me cover is something else, it does not come to play in this instance, cover is someone staying behind something to get protection. In here if a line of sight is admitted, there is no bonus for covering.

So what would I do in the case of Sacred Flame? It ignores cover, so a "clear" path isn't needed to cast the spell. Or bow users with sharpshooter feat as they ignore half and three quarters cover?

No problem with this one it doesn't ask for a line a sight, only to be able to see the target.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I dont have many attack spells so, that should cover them all.

no problem.

Could you help me (not native English speaker) understand "skeletal scarecrow" with "Cheshire grim". Is it anything close to any of those two or something totally different?

I would say A, skeletal because it is very thin, and Cheshire Grim refers to Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire cat is the cat that disappears part by part and has always a big smile.

Hi everyone,

I have some unfortunate news to share with you. Due to my new work commitments, I won't be able to continue playing in our DnD game. It has been a great pleasure adventuring with you all.

To Role-Play my departure, I would like to have my character 'Albo' leave the group. He has become too scared after our last encounter in the woods and has decided to go back to the village.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I hope you will continue to have a great time playing the game without me.

Thank you for the good times, and I hope to see you all soon on another adventure.

Take care,

If possible, here's what I would like to happen but feel free to imagine whatever you wish for Albo's departure:

As the adventurers wake up after camping, they realise that Albo has left. They see that he has left behind this note:

Dear fellow adventurers,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all that I, Albo, must bid you farewell. As we all know, the journey ahead is filled with unknown dangers and I fear that I may not be ready for what lies ahead.

I have come to the realization that it is in my best interest to return to the village and gather my thoughts. The recent encounters in the woods have left me shaken, and I fear that my fear may put the rest of you in danger.

I hope that you can understand my decision and that you will continue your journey without me. I will always cherish the memories we have shared and the bond we have formed as a group.

Farewell, my friends. May the winds be at your backs and the gods watch over you.

Yours sincerely,
Albo.

Well There is another solution, I keep your character as a half-npc. You may post when you want, but in the mantime he will be treated as an npc, in that way, you may still continue to read an play the story if you have time, I do not have to find a new player, and everyone is happy !

When a roll is needed after an action but was not posted:
Public

I prefer to wait until I can post the roll
I prefer DM o roll in order to gain time
Either way works for me

I think I am going to go ahead and quit the game. It's no longer fun and this combat isn't fun for me so have fun playing in this weird module. Bye.

We're down two people, there is three of you left.

It is still possible to finish the scenario, only if nobody else decide to leave.

So are you still for continuing ?
Mar 25, 2023 1:49 am
Wyce is good for continuing.
Mar 25, 2023 6:08 am
I am good to continue.

as for a feedback. While i find the scenario weird and somewhat lacking quality i am having fun in this game.
I just hope DM also have. @YullyBear you did a really good job roleplaying scarecrow and lately catching player's mistake on casting two concentration spells - something most if not all of the players missed.

I do believe we still can have a lot of fun in this game.

I agree with you, the scenario is not very good, it is from Green Frog edition, and I am more and more suspicious on their material.

But yes, I am having fun, thanks.
