[RECRUITMENT] Marvel Super Heroes (FASERIP)

Happy hero-ing, everybody!!

Two of my players have "Zzz"ed out so I'm looking for replacements. Current team comp is: Cyclops, Daredevil, and Spider-Man. Setting is an alternate dark timeline in 1999, similar to Days of Future Past but different. Characters will be pre-established, you can find a good list here. Heroes should be from Earth (no cosmic beings, aliens, time-travelers) and no reality-altering powers. Post below with some character possibilities if you're interested!

I know Ghost was my first pick, with Mimic if we want to keep it to mutants and Silver Surfer as the absolute Vegas longshot. But now that the game has gotten under way, what fits best?

Here's a list of all the pre-generated characters made for FASERIP. Browse this and see what sticks out. I think Mimic is cool as a comic book character, but very bad as an RPG character cuz he kinda has all the powers of other players which steals their uniqueness. There are currently some NPCs that you could take over as well: Wolverine, Northstar, Psylocke, Sabretooth, and Colossus. You could take over Black Panther from a player who has ghosted. Or other characters that could work well are people like Gambit, Iceman, Punisher, She-hulk, Ironfist, or Luke Cage.

Mimic could just copy and retain the powers of characters that aren't PCs.

I looked up Ghost. Did you know he never saw print in any of the handbooks? The closest he came was a write-up in an old Dragon Magazine, but unfortunately the only link I found was dead. That kinda sucks.

The only Ghost I know was from the 2nd Ant-Man movie and it was a woman lol. Which heroes' powers would Mimic have? would you like to roll randomly?

Yeah, Ghost from the movie was a wholly different character that just had the same name.

In comics, Ghost did corporate espionage (iirc, started as an Iron Man villain... although his issue was with Stark, not Iron Man). Has a sealed suit that filters his air, protects his senses, provides him with phasing and invisibility, and can directly interface with machines and computers he touches. He virtually never removes it, being somewhat paranoid.

He's a character that always seems like he should pull off more than he does... sorta like characters like Taskmaster or Batroc.

Mimic, I'd have to debate. It's easy to powergame the absolute sht out of him. Lol I don't remember the full power load-out of the Exiles, but he could permanently copy five power sets and I know they included Colossus, Wolverine, and a telepath... Jean maybe?

You know, I could always just take Purple Man. I have his write-up in one of the old handbooks. He'd certainly be different. Lol

Unearthly ability to control the emotional outlook of up to 100 people at a time. Affected people will happily do anything he suggests.

Weakness:
Because his power's effect is visually triggered, he has no effect over those unable to see him.
