Agreed. Though a Med Bay is not as large a coincidence as a Cybernetics Laboratory would be. Both are still options if we want, as is anything else.
Still I see this depot as military kind - somehow - so having ship adjusted with weapons capabilities and medbay isn't without logic IMHO:)
Didn't read all of our discussion, but I think it was the last thing about med bay.

So I see it that way(basing on Free Trader stats and your propositions):
- computer upgrade to 10 bandwidth
- Evade/1 - B10
- Fire Control/2 - B10 - so ether computer helps to pilot ship or fires the guns,

- 1 Double Turret - but with only one weapon mounted - "Strange. Is something missing here? Where is the other weapon?"
- Pulse Laser - TL 9, Long range, 2D damage
Fine by me. Moving this here to keep the Ship stuff sorta in one place.

I'm still thinking about it: could it be a computer with "Evade specialization" - or specializations are only for jump drive? This way we could keep the computer at 5 B and still use Evade/1(10B) with it. And Fire Control/1 which is 5B at standard. The aims is not having it too strong at the beginning - just barely working.

The only Specialisation for Ship's Computers is /bis (french for 'twice') which is for doing Jump calculations at double speed.
