Earlier - That Morning at the Diner
Dartella smiles at Eva's kind words about the breakfast. "Well, I'll have you know I fried those eggs up myself," she says. "You're lucky to be here when it's empty. Once it gets fuller and I juggle ten dishes at once, nothing comes out near as good anymore. Luckily, none of my bosses care about quality, only how much I sell."
She watches Eva eat for a moment, resting her chin on one hand. Her uniform is clean for a change as she's still at the start of her shift and hasn't had much chance to mess it up yet and her curly dark hair is drawn back underneath a cap with a washed out Sunny Side Up logo. "It was less me wanting to tell you something," she replies to Eva's words. "And more that I felt maybe there was something you wanted to tell me. I'm just worried about you, Evie. I know you're good at getting yourself out of trouble, but you're even better at getting into it. And somehow, I had the feeling that girl you were with the other day, Tanya, that she's trouble."
