So, I am wanting to plat D&D 3.5 again. It's been years but I'd like to try it out again. Anyone willing to DM? IDC what the theme is or anything, just wanting to try it out again.

What part of 3.5 are you wanting to try out again? Any particular themes you'd like to explore? Or is it just a nostalgia thing in general?

Any reason for specifically 3.5 instead of path 1.0 which was the advancement of 3.5?

Nostalgia, mostly. It was the first system I ever played/dmed.

Because I’ve never played pathfinder

Might have done a 3.5e for you but I just started a 5e game.

Honestly, if you've played 3.5, you've played Pathfinder 1E. The differences are minor, easily understood, and really enhance the game. If it's a matter of the game world (say, Forgotten Realms vs. Golarion), then don't fret. I run a PF1 game set in Greyhawk every Friday night and if you just borrow the data on deities from 3.5, it works just fine. Best of all, practically EVERYTHING for PF1 is freely and legally available on the web!

Tell you what... if you would be interested in trying PF1, I would be willing to convert a classic adventure from 2nd edition, WGR1 Greyhawk Ruins. Explore the ruins of Castle Greyhawk in all their deadly glory!

Hmm. Now that does sound interesting. I can do PF1 just fine. I do have to agree with C1NDER there.

Love reading about ppl trying to convince them to play the game they want to play.
Not dissing any1 - just saying.
3.5e comes with a lot of stuff PF1 does not.
e.g. Pelor :-D
and PF1 eventually collapsed under its own weight. 3.5 is my favourite version of D&D. And try as you might, nostalgia is very powerful. Especially after a certain age..... ***ahem***
:-D

if you can't find some1 running a game (not searched myself but would be very surprised if no1 is running 1), then just run 1 yourself.
I know it aint ideal. But it might be the only fix you can get.
1d4hp for a wizard is great. especially if you are a bit strict with character creation and you end up with a lvl5 wizard with 15hp. Fun.

There may be a tee shirt in my house that says 3.5 Til I Die. It may or may not belong to me. We certainly and happily played a metric ton of 3.5 in the day.

If there are a couple more peeps wanting to play, I can set up a 3.5 game.

To an extent, I agree with you. Nostalgia is a very powerful emotion. I will always love AD&D 1E as my first RPG and I enjoy playing it, despite its flaws. But mechanics-wise, there is fundamentally little difference between 3.5E and PF1. Your example of Pelor is flavor, not mechanics. Someone who has exclusively played PF1 can pick up a 3.5 module and run it in PF1 with no effort whatsoever; the two are completely compatible. That's why PF1 is also referred to as D&D 3.75.

I also disagree with your assessment that PF1 collapsed under its own weight. I use everything that is publically available (with the exception of the occult classes and stuff because they don't fit thematically) for PF1 in my Greyhawk campaign and it flows smoothly. Discounting flavor books (such as Gnomes of Golarion, for example), Pathfinder had about a dozen supplemental volumes that added something to the game mechanics. Taking a look at 3.5, I see no fewer than 20 supplements that add to the mechanics of the game.

That said, play what you like. Personally, if I were to try to convince anyone to play anything, it would be Savage Worlds. :)
