Kosmosaur HQ, Branch XIII
Kersondt, Primacosta Tau
You find yourselves in the reception area of your supervisor, F.F. Firestone, in the Kosmosaur HQ building of Branch XIII, which is in charge of the Aquila Sector. The building is an impressive tower of opalglass and tyrannium alloy, reaching to the purple clouds of Primacosta Tau.
It has been three weeks since the incident with the ghost whale and the Insectiloids. But now you've been called into a meeting with your boss for your next assignment. His message didn't sound welcoming, but then they never did. Now you are scrunched up on the red chelgrian-hide sofas, waiting to be called into his office. His solid wood door is closed but you can hear indistinct shouting from the other side. You look around at the boring and nondescript reception area that looks like it was decorated by the most uncreative interior designer to ever live. Potted plants near windows, uninspired artwork on the walls, and all the furniture and carpets were beiges, whites, and greys. In fact the only color at all were the couches you were sitting on, which had been given as a present by some of you veterans upon your first anniversary of joining the Kosmosaurs. You had intended them to be in Chief Firestone's office but he placed them out here where he didn't have to see them. That's bosses for you.
