Book 1: A New Day

'What's wrong with a bunch of werewolves, which don't exist, knocking down a wall into an area filled with armed cops andpossible public and inciting panic?' Diana raises an eyebrow.

'Eve if we cut surveillance words gonna get around. To agents of the wyrm, and to people who hunt down the supernatural. It's reckless. Even if no one in the station can stop us, it grts targets on our back from people who can.

' And while you guys might not care other packs aren't exactly going to look favourably on that either. Lets not piss off other Garou.

' We should see if we can get that floorpla, get some Intel while working out how we get there. Alex, Rat food and I can maybe test the Umbra, see what that route is like.'

'Just because we can smash and grab doesn't mean we should. We're strong. That's how the wrong people get hurt.'

Misha wondered how many of the others had actually seen the inside of a police cell before besides her. This wasn't going to be an easy job..
"Ain't many 'right' people in a police station. And that includes the pigs. But whatever, this isn't helping. There's going to be cameras and as soon as shit goes down the place will be swarming with cops. So here's my thinking. We go over there, check how big the place is, how many cops are around at night. Then some of us cause an enormous ruckus somewhere far off on their turf to draw off most of 'm, then we do the grab. I'm thinking getting an officer down call out. That does the trick. But no matter how we play it there's going to be cops inside and odds are we'll have to fight our way through. Evidence room has all the guns 'n drugs and shit too, remember? It's going to be the most protected spot no matter what. We'll use Patrick 'cuz he has a gun and knows how to use it. What I do like is the idea of hiding out in the umbra once we're done. Sword is a fetish, so can come along, right?"

"Sounds settled then. We load up, Misha drives, and on the way we dig up floor plans. Maybe check social media an' shit too. People talk... never know what might be relevant, may find out how well funded, equipped, or staffed the joint is," Patrick says with a nod.

"We can also check out the town. Maps an' shit. Should give us an idea what might area might be good for a distraction. I'm not eager to have my pistol attached to a crime scene, but there are plenty of options to draw attention. That said... I'm not down to hurt randos. Yokels should be mostly off limits. We start running ones with the general public, we're no better than the people you got a grudge against."

The last part was directed at Misha. "An' I'd like to think we can all agree, regardless of our differences... THAT ain't who we are. Yeah?"

'Okay yes thmany will be asshole in there. Doesn't mean we should maul all of them. They're still human. Mundane. Hence subtle until needing to go loud. Please'

Diana;s foot starts tapping as she speaks. She gets why the violent option seems appealing with their new strength but se is clearly concerned at the willingness to possibly hurt normal people. She looks relieved as Patrick seems on her side.

''You're distractions a better idea than mine. That was we stage a bunch of robberies then umbra out but then thats the next problem - Hiding in the umbra relies on us getting in the umbra. Is the stress, the panic, if someone fails to get in they're left behind and siting ducks. Its a back up plan but we need another escape route just in case.'

'How about first plan, those who us better at the umbra try that, and then you lot be on backup if that doesn't go well, with the distraction and the...more direct option? ..It may be needed if someone gets the sword but then can't back in and is stuck in the room. The cavalry if you would?'

'Patrick is righht.. we have base plans. We now need the floor plans and to scout it out. Then we can assess the options.'

Paul just waves his hands dismissively at the rest of them. "Whatever," he says to the rest of them "just let me know when this Brilliant plan is all figured out." In the meantime, he sits and studies the rights of prisoners.

Misha had been looking at her phone a few moments and lifted a figer.
"One. You seen my car? we're not all going to fit."
She lifted another.
"Two. It's about an eight-hour drive."
And a third...
"Floor plans? You seen to many fucking movies. Where the fuck are you going to get a police station's floor plans?"

"One: Get a bigger one. Two: Okay, we'll bring snacks. Three: You know that shit's public record at the assessor's office or department of buildings, right? It's still a public building. Might have to go into an office, but whatever. It's for an autocad class." Patrick shrugs.

"But bet, fuck it. One of us can blow up a gas station, the rest of us can siege the place. Sounds legit."

'I don't have a car, but we can surely source one. ' She hesitates a moment at the mention of the plans before Patrick chimes in and she nods her head towards him. 'Even if that doesn't not work we can watch the place. Hell one of us can even be a 'guide dog' with another and scout the place while ;making a statement' or something.

At the mention of blowing up a gas station she throws a look. [b]'That is even worse than.. you know what. We've got 8 hours in a car to discuss if its reasonable to blow up random stuff and potentially people for a fancy sword...' She sighs

"Alright princess. 'Source' your car so we can go." Misha said to Diana, air quotes and all. Fucking freeloaders had been using her to drive all month. About time there was a second car around..

I.. don't know if I can myself. Unless we aske the sept, but I'd not listening to one of your rants today. I meant as a group. Even if its a rent a car

'I know you are desperate to cram me into this small assumption box with your nicknames and derision, but I am not made of money'

"Gotta be 25 to rent a car," Patrick points out. Then he steps away to get on his phone and make a call.

Misha gave Diana a snort and a shrug.
"Fuck, could've fooled me. Who the fuck says they're gonna 'source' a car? That sure sounds like rich kid talk to me."

She had her arms crossed and leaned against the wall.
"I got my beater by scrounging up money and buying a wreck. Fuck, I wouldn't be surprised if it won't last a straight 8-hour drive. But I got it by pulling up my sleeves and getting shit done. So figure something out."

She looked at the rest of the gang, minus Patrick who seemed to be actually working the issue.
"Goes for all of you. I don't mind using my car for the lot of you. And our roof is free. But the food ain't. Gas ain't. Time you all start chipping in. Job one for you lot: get a second car. Don't make it expensive. Odds are, we'll have to dump it after hitting the police on their turf. After we're back figure out something you can do for the lot of us. Maybe get a job, money's always welcome. But if you can think of something else..." she glanced at the lupus "... or you can't for whatever reason, think of something that will make us all better off."
