Book 1: A New Day

"Go in the bathroom if you're gonna do that," Patrick suggests.

"If it seems relatively safe, then maybe we should try," Paul says "but you shouldn't go alone. I'm sure I'm not the best, but if you need a helping hand, I'll go. How about a coffee? I'm sure we could use the bathroom in a cafe. They'll have a mirror."

'Hey wait, not on your own' Diana sighs. They had just been discussing it bad she go by herself. ' I'll go after him. We may find info on the other side even if not at the station.. see how viable getting that way is. She stands and goes to the girls bathroom. If possible she locks or jams the door to stop others getting in in case it takes her minutes to get through.

Hoping Alex made it she focus on the mirror. If she failed here it would e even more ammunition for Misha and others to look down on her. She knew she could do it, and had to prove the others she could.

Paul just follows along with the other two, and keeps watch while they do their business. "You seem a little high strung," Pat," Paul says. "You probably need a coffee. That'll calm you down."

"I'm not high-strung, I just have a personality. You should try it some time," Patrick quips. "Also, coffee tastes like ass."

Turning to their Alpha, Patricks has a more serious look flit across his features. "If this really is a vampire, I'm worried we may have limited time to get our job done. How hard to we wanna be ready to go?"

Paul just laughs at Patrick and starts scrolling the web. He's looking up news relating to policing in the area. "I wonder if this is a new thing, or if there's a long-standing presence," he mutters. "It wouldn't be fun if we had to deal with something really sort of rooted in the area. We might have a bit more trouble."

"We don't even know what we're dealing with. So let's figure it out when we do."
Misha shrugged while waiting for the others to come back. She wasn't the expert on Neverland so she was happy to let the people who thought they were figure that situation out. In the meanwhile she considered Patrick's words and the whole situation they had gotten in. Now that the group had gotten a bit smaller she figured out it was a good moment to talk to him.
"Ey. I know we're here for just the sword. Job with a clear reward, right? But this whole soda thing is just weird. Not that that matters. You gotta think a little different man. Just because there ain't anything in it for us right now, don't mean there won't be if we look a little closer. And if there ain't, we can just leave. But doesn't hurt to have a look. I know one thing. Whoever is doing that whole weird stuff? Bozo's got more money then we do. And if he's the bad guy? Means some of it might be up for grabs, eh?"

Patrick glances around the diner, making sure no one had moved any closer to them. "I mean, I get it. But it's risk to reward. That money won't do you any good if you don't live long enough to spend it. I dunno, I prefer small scale hustles that don't pay as much, but they pay consistantly, y'know?"

When the waitress comes over to ask the kids what they were ordering, with the intent to kick out loiterers, Patrick orders two orders of fries, a Coke, a coffee for Paul, and a root beer and a Sprite. He also has Misha order whatever she wanted to drink. After Lois leaves to send the order, he continues.

"We gotta do the sword first. That's the job. And that's gonna be hard enough. We can look into this other shit afterwards if y'all are still dead set on it, but we don't need half the town pissed at us before we even go deal with the po-po."

He shrugs at the Alpha, and when Lois brings the drinks he flashes a winning smile and thanks her.

Dina starts as she looks down to see the spirit, insticvely raising a hand to swipe at it before stopping. A manifestation of the weaver?

'Hello?' There is hesitance in her voice, and it is clear she in still uncertain if the spirt is friend or foe.

"We'll see what's up first. Might be no fuss." Misha replied to Patrick. She wasn't planning on burning down half the town over the bloody mystery anyhow..

"How noble, Patrick, a hustle," Paul says while pausing his research. "I'm sure we'll all be better off focusing on petty crime. I think they might be linked. The weird drink, the potentially ominous presence, the sword. Someone must know what this thing is worth and I doubt it's John Q. Public." Paul goes back to his research, hoping the others are ok.

"When the fuck did I ever claim to be noble?" Patrick scoffs.

A growl escapes the silver Fang as she begins to realise what the creature maybe, and instinctively she swipes at it to try and knock it off her.

'.. If we come in here again no phones...' Internally she curses herself for not thinking about that.

As they reach there location she looks at the aura. 'Well we were right. Somethings up with it.' She tries to see if she can garner anything from the aura.

'We should also try and find roughly where this sword is...
