Book 1: A New Day

"Amazing," Paul says amusedly. "Do you have any old-timey pictures around from back in the company's early days?" He's pretty sure the tour guide is full of shit, but the more they talk, the more likely something slips out.

"Oh no, I meant like, this facility in specific. It went up crazy fast," Patrick mentions as he looks around.

Misha sauntered after the others, feeling like she was on some school trip. She was pretty sure their guided tour was going to skip the 'evil master plan' department so she mostly looked around for anything out of the ordinary..

"Interesting," Paul says. "Does the company ensure that the family name stays close to the business, sort of like how Michelin had operated in France?"

Patrick will make a mental note about the geometric design... it doesn't seem like it should matter, but when you don't know anything, everything is potentially important. "Y'all seem to be pretty open with who you hire. Local management believe in second chances, or is it more of a company policy?"

"Oh! Interesting", Paul says. "The original packs quite a punch. What's the flavour and can we can them to go? I know some people that might like them."

"Thanks so much, but I have to pass. Not an energy drink guy. They're already bad for the heart, and I was born with a defect, so I try not to risk it. I'm here because the business side of things is fascinating! Good practices too. Gotta respect helping people who need it most." Patrick flashes a smile, relying on his way with words to carry him... along with a little Persuasion.

Back at the warehouse...

"OK, what the actual fuck?! Was anyone else creeped out by that? It felt... wrong, somehow... but I can't put my finger on it," Patrick blurts out once they're inside. He grabs some paper and sketches out the tat he saw, since it's weird enough to possibly be relevant. It's sort of geometric, but doesn't feel like some regular geometric tattoo... he may have to have someone else take a look at it, see if they can place it.
