Prologue: The Children's Journey

Woody takes off after Flora laughing. He yells to Tink along the way, "Lunch time, slowpoke! Come on." Even though he knows he's faster, he holds back and makes sure Flora wins. Then, after getting back to the house, he goes in and jumps on Ollie's bed, bouncing him to wake up.

Flora reaches the house with a smile , goes to wash her hands then grabs out some plates, a loaf of bread, and a jar of grape jam and peanut butter and after slicing two pieces of bread for everyone begins to make everyone a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on their plate

After she washes the butter knife, she grabs some fruit and places it on everyone's plates and got everyone a glass of apple juice too.

"Lunch is ready everyone! Come and get it." Flora calls a moment later after she sits down and waits for Tink, Ollie and Woody to come eat.

Tink dashes in after Flora's call. He happily makes eats a pb&j.

"Thanks Flora!" He says. "Grandma Sophie and Ollie both still resting? How Grandma Sophie doing?"

Flora nods. "She's ok. She had a tiny fever but she should be better by the morning. I left her a pitcher of water for when she gets thirsty. And no problem. I already made everyone's sandwiches so it was no problem at all. Ollie is definitely tired. He shouldn't stay up so late though. Us growing kids need our sleep still. Maybe we can check out the cellar again after lunch. How are you doing Tink? "

"I'm good. Yeah we should get that job done for Grandma Sophie. But we should wait for Ollie to be able to come with us. The more of us down there the better!"

"I don't think my bow will be much use against that cauldron but I can take the Axe from the woodpile. That'll hurt."

Flora nods before getting something out of her pack.

"I want to give these to you. Grandmother Sophie helped me make them. They are sending stones. I'll have one and you'll have one so no matter what happens to us, we'll always be able to contact each other every day in 25 words or less if we ever are apart. You just tap the stone, say your message and it'll automatically send it to me. I'll give Ollie his when he wakes up. And hopefully we'll be able to defeat those nasty monsters in the cellar too. " Flora tells Tink and Woody before handing them a white river rock that has the sending spell on it.

"Thanks Flora, Do they work between each other, too? Like could I send Ollie a message if we got separated?" Woody is impressed with Flora.

" I think we can reply back to whatever message is sent but it's a one charge a day thing and it resets at dawn." Flora replies a moment later.

After eating his luch woody gets up and heads to the door, "Well, let me know when you guys wanna hit the cellar, I'll be chopping firewood."
Heads to the barn and grabs the axe then chops wood 'till they are ready.

Flora nods after watching Woody go outside and eats her lunch in silence. She then calls out "Tink, Olle, come eat lunch! We're going to go tackle the cellar again afterwards. I'll give you guys your sending stones when you get in here."

She then says to herself a moment later "If this is the final time we see each other after this, I'm going to miss everyone when they leave. Grandmother Sophie, I hope you feel better soon. "

Ollie finally wakes, and has a serious but determined look on his face...."You cant fight dreams with bows, or knives, we have to use magic. I did some research... We need to make a dreamcatcher"

Ollie holds up a book with pictures... Look, you see that webby thing? Its called a dreamcatcher. It catches bad dreams and lets the good ones through.

"But we're not fighting dreams, we are fighting fears manifested as real life monstrous creatures. I don't think a dreamcatcher will work." Flora said a moment later.

"Good suggestion though Ollie. We can use the dreamcatcher to fight off any nightmares we have though. C'mon and eat your lunch. we're going to go tackle the cellar again today. " She added.

Ollie's idea of building something gets Tinks interest for sure. "Wow. Ollie. You think it will work? We can put some magic in it too."

"Oh," Tink says a little disappointed after Flora's clarification.
