I was introduced to TTRPGs through D&D 5e back in college (2014) and was enthralled with it immediately; however, I've only had the chance to be a player in a handful of sessions.
I've run a few relatively short-lived games as a DM. The first and longest was in 5e over Roll20 with some college buddies; the most recent was an Old School Essentials PBP (Tomb Robbers of the Crystal Frontier) with a few players recruited from Reddit. It was actually going really well at the outset, but my players have pretty much ghosted me.
I've now started a brand new in-person 5e game (again as the DM), which I'm stoked about. But I want to experience the game from the other side of the screen, too.
My two main interests are Old Schools Essentials/BX D&D and 5e, but really, I'm not picky. While I have a slight preference for games in the OSR vein, there's a wide world of really cool systems out there, and I'd be happy to learn about and play most any of them.
Looking forward to gaming with some of you folks!
Edit: I should add: once I establish a presence here, I also intend to continue DMing. I have a homebrew setting I'm really excited to run some folks through in hexcrawl-style. So maybe catch some of y'all in that future game as well.
