2.1 Chapter 1: Into the Stolen Lands

Tassle throws the bread with a mighty hurl. However she forgot to account for the rye content, and it flops onto the floor in front of her breaking into multiple pieces. "Hey" grunts the bartender.

Outside the door you see armed guards appear, dress similar to the backroom goons. Some start to chase the running Thugs while other approach the hostage situations. Blocking the exit in the process.

The two goons close to McTarget lower their weapons. The closest says, "whooa, calm down. No one has to get hurt." Just then the incapacitated Thug wheezes. The goon continues ".... any more than they have too"

My leshy pounces on the bread snacks provided by the encounter gods as a reward for their good deeds and snarfles up the floor mess with both speed and accuracy that is only matched by tiny dogs trying to convince you that they never get fed by their owners.

Dalia dutifully makes the rounds to ensure no one is bleeding to death, while delivering a scathing sermon on the wonders of diplomacy and the pleasure of reaching an amicable comprise.

The third goon is hanging back with a loaded crossbow. Ready to shoot if things go south. With Dalia’s rousing speech he pauses, then grimaces "lustful vengeance?" he mutter before putting his attention back on McTarget

Now that Octavius has his brain back in order, he'll look over at the new Goons and ask "What exactly is your interest in this affair?"

The Goon closest to Octavius crinkles her brow, before grunting "I’m Em, we are city guards trying to save this noble" in an annoyed tone. Turning her gaze to the nervous thug "just let McTarget go. You know his mother will spring for the raise. You are not threatening anyone." McTarget’s eye widen.

A pleasure, Em. Though I'm not sure if I should be off-put by the Lady's casual opinion of death, or overjoyed to know of her concern for her son's life extends beyond the grave.

I'm curious why all of these thugs feel the need for violence and disrupted everyone's nice evening.
