oopsylon! One thing I didn't think of! It is a bit more urgent for Admiral. Since he has fallen unconscious with Zero HP, he has fallen to the cavern floor, which is filling up with water!

We have to consider this. Let's say the first successful death save you already made is fine. Now going forward, Admiral will have to make a CON save DC 10 to avoid taking damage from breathing in water in his unconscious state. Taking damage like this makes for an automatic death save fail. If the CON save is successful, Admiral must still make a regular death save.

BUT, you may declare before making either of these rolls that you will allow Reaver to channel life force into Admiral. This choice (costing 100 Pact Tally Points) will avoid the water damage to Admiral and will also result in a successful death save for that turn.
Okay, understood! Sounds good! The Reaver mechanic you came up with is really neat btw (sort of a cool devil’s bargain type thing)

And might be the only way to save your character with the way the fight is going. Lol

While the GM is gone. We edit a "1" off those "113 HP". Hag appears to be much easier to kill. :)
Ha! You guys should’ve done that while I was gone because the battle is getting sticky!

This current turn Admiral has already taken his action (a death save). Regan has as well, which was bludgeoning the sahuagin that closed in on him. Just waiting for Gene to take an action before I post the NPC turn.

Gene has been MIA for a couple days it seems. Hopefully he's ok and life just got a little extra lifey.

I hope so too!

I moved us along. I really hope Gene is okay and he'll pop back in here. Untill he hopefully does, I'll take his moves so we can continue on.

I have been offline for a week or so but back now. :) Hope to get caught up soon.

Welcome back!

Awaiting to see if there is something I should know about grasping Reaver before I finish this post?
I believe it would functionally just be a regular scimitar (1d6) that disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from Admiral for one minute… So probably not very useful to Cordey. All the bonuses are hexblade stuff and warlock invocations
Aug 8, 2024 1:16 am
LOL. but dear Cordey doesn't know that. And he is using a shortsword (Cutlass).
Aug 8, 2024 2:38 am
Great to have you back Gene!!

Alright we'll dig into Cordey's action here. Take a look at the game post. Hopefully this will be fun...

Everything alright, Seck? Are we waiting on anyone’s turn?
Aug 21, 2024 2:41 am
I'm so sorry everyone! A perfect location opened up to move my business and I have been totally occupied by getting many things in the works to get into the place. I apologize for disappearing, but things are looking good on that front, so I hope to post in our game tomorrow.

Thanks for asking and giving me a kick oopsylon.
Aug 21, 2024 3:09 am
All good! There’s no rush! I just wanted to make sure everything was alright. Congrats on moving your business! :D

Seck says:
OOC:
Everyone in 30' around the hag must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save one takes 3d8 cold damage and is hindered by ice formations for 1 minute, or until it or another creature within reach of it uses an action to break away the ice. One hindered by ice has its speed reduced to 0. On a successful save, one takes half as much damage and isn’t hindered by ice.
Would this be an automatic death save fail for Admiral?

Also, are the Pact Tally death save rules still in effect even though Admiral is no longer holding Reaver?
Aug 24, 2024 3:44 am
Yes, taking any amount of damage would be an automatic death save fail for Admiral, BUT (especially since Reaver rejected Cordey) not having Reaver in hand would not interfere with the pact bond between Reaver and Admiral. So the Pact Tally death save rules are still in effect. I think if Admiral were conscious he could call Reaver to his hand from anywhere, so I don't see why Reaver couldn't channel life force into him from a few feet away.
Aug 24, 2024 4:58 am
Okay, great! In that case, I’ll take the 100 Pact Tally points and stabilise. I don’t trust myself to not roll a natural 1 :P

Pesky sword hates me!

I’m back up! :D
Is Admiral hindered by the ice?
