In the world of 13th Age, there are living dungeons, chaotic spasms of hate-filled architecture that swim up from the depths and erupt onto the surface, their corridors and chambers spreading out like a cancer beneath the ground. Most living dungeons rise up and become permanent features of the world, or get killed by adventurers before they can establish themselves.

But there’s one living dungeon out there that’s different, one that’s unique. It doesn’t claw its way blindly to the surface, to survive or perish as fate dictates. This dungeon is awake, aware, and cunning like some wild beast made of stone and iron.

It’s called the Stone Thief. And it’s going to destroy people and things you love until you hate it too. And then one or the other of you will have to die.

Starting near the middle to end of May, a lot of my one shot games will be winding down and I'm itching to focus on a long term campaign instead. It'll be using 13th Age and the Eyes of the Stone Thief campaign (levels 4-8). I bought the bundle for 13A and am really impressed with the game. The bundle also came with this adventure that sounds really unique. The pitch is this: The Stone Thief is a living dungeon that can grow and reshape itself and is the prime antagonist. The players will have to enter and escape numerous times, but each time the layout and obstacles will be different. The dungeon is also sentient and will be hunting the players and impacting the world. The campaign is split 50/50 between delving the dungeon and interacting with the world outside as the Stone Thief wreaks havoc in the world and dealing with your personal plot lines and backgrounds.

This will be a long campaign. The book is over 360 pages, about 2/3 of a complete Pathfinder adventure path. I don't have a way to judge how long that will take accurately, but it's safe to say 2-3 years. I'm looking for committed players who have been around awhile and can post reliably. Players new to 13A are welcome as its my first time running/playing it as well. Posting rate will be slightly relaxed at 4/week, but I will keep up with whatever pace the players naturally set if faster. If you are interested or have questions leave comments below.

I've read a lot of good things about Stone Thief and 13A is a pretty good game, so this should be fun. Not my style of game, so I won't apply, but still, I'd recommend to jump on this.

I haven't played 13th Age before but it's been on my radar for a good while. Count me in!

It's a D&D-like game with a bit more focus on narrative elements. This page gives a good short pitch

In keeping with my goal of trying new systems this year, I would happily give this a shot.
